Today is the 1 year anniversary of the snowpocalypse in Atlanta... It took my husband 16 hours to get home and the whole city basically looked like a scene from the walking dead
Looks like today is the day! Water broke at about 11:45pm. My MW told me to try to get some rest (haha, yeah right) so I laid there and timed contractions and drifted off here and there where I could. It got to the point where being in bed was way too uncomfortable so I just got up to find a new position. DH and DS are still sleeping - I figured they might as well sleep while they can! Can't wait to meet our little girl!
dreemkin -- I have found throughout my pregnancy food is always the answer. Enjoy!
My goal is to get some towels and sheets in the laundry and dust and vacuum the downstairs. I think I can do it. After I watch Hot Topics on Wendy Williams.
My animals are very happy it is sunny outside today. The cat is the boss:
Also, and this is actual spam, not post-count spam: I'm semi house hunting in our new possible location for this summer and it's not as fun as I thought. It's stressful thinking about schools and commute times and crap. Bleh. I just wish I was on Property Brothers.
I hate house hunting and I'm dreading having to do it next year. This time I refuse to move anywhere that needs more than minor work done or that I don't love. Or staying with a crappy realtor.
I haven't seen Property Brothers, but it sounds like an interesting show.
Good luck to the mama's meeting their little ones today!!!
I'm bored today. My students are working on a review for their test today, and we just started second semester, so I don't have grading to do until this weekend.
Although I am ready for this LO, I am so anxious that I am not ready. I think the biggest thing is school. I really feel that baby boy might be early and I still don't have a sub. They want the person to come in 3 to 4 days full time with me, but how do we know when that is? What if I go early and they haven't found someone? I know I shouldn't worry and it's not my problem, but it is too hard not to. I am planned and everything but there are just logistic things that I need to do, but can't until I know my sub. Sorry for my rant...didn't know I needed to get that out.
I'm not feeling great today. Crampy most of yesterday and up for a few hours last night. I decided to just not go into work. The thought of putting on real pants was too much this morning. Of course now the cramps/contractions have stopped.
We had our first snow storm of the year yesterday. It was beautiful, but while driving into work, I hit a patch of black ice, spun my car out on the bridge and slammed head on into the wall on the side of the bridge. But I got lucky. The car in front of me spun out as well and t-boned another car and then was rear ended. So at least I don't have to deal with any other insurance companies and I didn't get a ticket.
We then spent five hours in the hospital because I was contracting like crazy. Luckily we got the contractions under control and now I got to go home.
Today I have a sore neck and back, but I have my prenatal massage Saturday so yay! Hopefully she will knock out the soreness
I'm spending the entire day training my maternity leave sub. Hopefully IT brings her a laptop so I can at least play on the internet while she is learning the financial system.
Had my 38 week appt yesterday. They checked Roslin's size again, and she's still looking big but not big enough that they want to have her come early. Plan right now is to go in for my next appt on Monday, and if I'm still pregnant (hopefully, I really want to make it to February) they'll put an induction on the schedule for the end of next week. She doesn't want me going late, which is fine by me.
Good luck @trin 42 and krispy83, waitingnfor your good news!
I'm just jealous... So many people I know irl are ready to go/got their little ones already despite having their due date after or around mine. Mine LO has no signs of getting closer to meetine me. I'm now the last one still pregnant.

Good luck Trin42 and Krispy.
No spam for me today. Cramps kept me up off and on through the night. I want to go to Wal-Mart but don't want to by myself because anything can happen.
So exciting that we'll have new babies on the board today! Meanwhile I've hit the wall and am convinced I'm going to be pregnant forever. I still have a week and a half to go to my EDD, but it feels like YEARS. WAHHH. Don't mind me- I'm emotional and over dramatic.
I'm working from home again today- grown up snow days aren't as much fun when your work sends you home with a laptop. But I guess it's a decent distraction.
Also, my goal for the day is to hit member, so get ready to see a ton of me this afternoon.

Good luck to the momma's meeting their LO's today!! Can't wait to see the updates!!
Last night I went to bad with a clear head, closed my eyes and then BOOM! Labor anxiety kicked in! I haven't been worried about labor my whole pregnancy. But I think since it's going to happen sooner than later, I'm starting to get a little anxious and scared. It was really hard to go back to sleep after that.

Just finished my appointment and she stripped my membranes again.. I'm all crampy now... hopefully this time it will do something because it didn't do crap last week.

Good luck trin42 & krispy83 ! I'm not due til 2/26 but seeing so many of you ladies going into labor makes me feel like I'm almost done! So exciting for all of us.
michelle142 carpet in your kitchen, ugh, that sounds like a huge pain.
ambz06060 I'm right there with you on the stress of not meeting your replacement. The last two people that were supposed to transfer to my department so I can train them were pulled to other projects last minute, and it's looking like I won't get to train anyone for more than a day or two, if that.
Nothing spammy for me yet today, other than a case of don't-wanna-be-here for work. Had my 36 week (well 35,5) appointment yesterday & everything is on right on track!
Good luck today trin42 and krispy83! And to everyone who has appointments today too!

I think DH and I have settled on a name! We were planning to wait until she's born but I think we've unofficially and nonverbally agreed that Rose (nn Rosie) Rae will be her name. Rose is his grandma's name - she is currently going through being diagnosed with Alzheimer's - and Rae is also my MN after my late grandpa Raymond. I think it's a beautiful tribute to both of them!

It's awful. I vacuum every day and it still disgusts me. I have to deal with it until our town finishes with their city-wide property tax re-assessments... which could be up to another 15 months. DH refuses to do any huge upgrades until after the re-assessment, which makes sense, but still. Ugh.

Our LO's middle name is also Rae. My mom's middle name is Rae, which is where we got it from. Good name.
DK took Adeline with him over to my parents house to help them out with a project which means that I have at least 2-3 hour of ALONE TIME. MY problem is that whenever I get time to myself I think of the 8,000 things that I COULD BE doing and instead sit on my ass in front of the computer and don't do any of them. After I finish this post I'm closing the computer and going to force myself to take a nap and not think about the homework that I should be doing. Priorities, man.
I called today about my 39 week appointment that was canceled last night for no real reason (big old bust storm) and was able to get an appointment for tomorrow night. This makes me happy. I'm pretty sure my bump grew over night. I look very large today.
I just ate a horrible greasy burger and fries from the work cafeteria which I said I would never eat again because of how it tore up my stomach the last time I had one.. Hmmmm, well maybe the grease will send me into labor? Ha!

Since H's boss made him take a sick day today, we went to the zoo this morning (in lovely 60 degree weather). They have a brand new baby elephant who is only a month old. So adorable. I hope the picture works.
