I have a snoogle type pillow. It's been sitting in the shelf in the closet for 3 years. I need to get that washed and aired out. My cat freaking loves that thing. Sleeps with it all day while I'm gone.
So, I went to the 7 Eleven and got an iced coffee, but didn't realize until it was too late that I got the spiced pumpkin instead of the mocha. Because when they switched out the flavors they moved the mocha to where the vanilla was. Lame. It's not terrible, but it's definitely more spice than it should be. Pretty much just tastes like a nutmeg iced coffee. Whatever, it's drinkable. <--- high standards.
I like walking there for my daily walks because it's the perfect distance (I don't typically go in), but there's this pretty steep hill getting there and I'm always afraid I'm going to go tumbling down it. Pretty sure over the next several months I'm going to have to find a new place to walk.
I know hormones probably are playing a huge chunk in it, but I'm in the process of trying to avoid a breakdown at my desk. We're trying to schedule DD for two tests, and the universe is just not cooperating. They can't both be done in the same facility, since one has a great MRI and a not great PET scan, and the other has a not great MRI and a great PET scan. Which means two missed days of work, two days of tests, two days of making her fast, two days of sedating her, and two days of dealing with post sedation haze and rage.
Not to mention that neither of the appointments came with instructions regarding the sedation, her doctor is new to the practice and isn't sure what kind of sedation they'll use or specific instructions regarding the sedation (all the instructions we've been sent are for adults who don't need sedation), and it's not clear whether they've built the time to sedate her into the timing of the appointment (the PET scan uses a radioactive isotope.. all the paperwork says that if you're 30 mins late to your appointment, they won't do the test. It took us 45 minutes to get her sedated last time, so obviously this wouldn't work.)
For her last MRI, while we were trying to distract her from not eating, I took her to the neighbor's house to play. Where she may or may not have eaten some cat food (she had some in her hand covered in spit), which meant we had to reschedule the whole thing and repeat the fast. So now we've got two variables that could lead to us screwing up and having to reschedule, and I just can't/don't want to have to try to get yet another day off if we have to reschedule.
It's going to be here Monday. I'm so so so excited about this. There's no way I'm going to be able to keep it hidden for a whole month. AH! I hope he loves it. I got one that weighs 24 lbs because it was the only one that was big enough. I really doubt that it'll be too heavy, since he appreciates it when my fat ass lays on top of him, but I'm just hoping it's not unmanageable. But hooray!!! I'm so happy. I can't wait to use it.

k3am, I'm sorry that you are going through such a stressful time. Hopefully you can get everything worked out and the fast/recovery go better this time around.

k3am FX it all works out! I really hope they can address your specific sedation questions sooner so you'll have a better idea of what to expect. That sounds stressful/frustrating about having to cancel an appointment bc she might have eaten something!
@led tell me more about this blanket? I must have missed talk about it in past random threads. That's really heavy!!

It's just a weighted blanket. But it's 54" x 78" and weighs 24 lbs. I ordered mine from The Magic Blanket. They offered the largest one and had some good (though hard to find) reviews. So I'm really hoping it works out well. Sucker was like $215 after shipping. I'm sure I'll update again once it gets here and I have a chance to use it.
You Guys!!! I was totally able to pick up baby's HB with the Doppler!!I caught it for a couple minutes and then my finger started hurting from the pressure and I lost it. I am beyond ecstatic!!

I'm counting down the days until I can use mine. I cannot wait!!! Though I still have to go pick up some gel or aloe or something. But I've got a couple weeks yet.
Appointment went well! Baby's heart was beating and baby grew! It measured 2 days "behind" but OB said that was of zero concern and he didn't change my due date. H is so cute and excited at those appts. I love it. Next stop, high risk!
I feel bad since I'm not as active on here as I would like to be, but I'm going to try to participate more on here and not just my other board But hope everyone has a great rest of their night!!!

Hugs k3am those appointments definitely sound like headaches! I'd be stressing it too.
starfishy my dog was obsessed with that snoogle pillow. My sister had one and never used it (weirdo) so she gave it to me. Best free present ever. I can't wait to bust it out! And neither can dog.
