I've sang the Skye Boat Song as a lullaby with both my kids. We don't listen to much music in my house but I sing a lot. Mostly random kids songs with my toddler but DS seems to enjoy it too.

DS loves "I'm a little teapot" right now. We sing a lot (terribly) he is always so captivated when we sing. He doesn't scream very often but when he does I usually put music on my phone on. For some reason Jazz music settles him right down.

I'm not good either but my kids don't seem to care . Though our toddler has told DH to stop singing on more than one occasion.
DD is a big fan of the old Winnie the Pooh theme from Disney and "You are my Sunshine". I sing to her all the time and she loves it. It makes her smile every time.
We like to jam to Old McDonald, The Wheels on the Bus, and Uptown Funk. J likes it when I sing Old McDonald and instead of shouting out animals, he yells out Cars characters and I have to use their common sayings from the movie.
We always sing her the ABCs to go to sleep. Now her eyes droop as soon as she hears it, so we are kind of concerned for when she gets to kindergarten!! Haha

I don't sing specifically to DD2, its more of a group activity, songs we sing now are itsy bitsy spider, big fat spider, a goodmorning song where we sing to each person in the family by name, we sing wheels on the bus, and old macdonald, mr sun,

I sing all the time but it tends to be random snippets of whatever is in my head. A few days ago I sang him the narwhal song and he laughed and laughed, so that one is a hit.

I sing random stuff to DD. I usually make up words to whatever we are listening to because I never know them. She doesn't seem to mind BUT have DH and I sing together and she cries!
The ABCs is her favorite. She also likes the Wheels on the Bus, but only if I act it out. She really enjoys a medley of Final Fantasy songs DH plays for her and the Siamese Cat song from Lady & the Tramp.

DD loved the final fantasy music as a tiny baby! DH got pretty good at one-handed play too.
The Allison Krauss version of Baby Mine. It's my magic weapon for sleep. She gets the "Goddammit, Mom, that's my Kryptonite" look on her face and promptly falls asleep.
As for everyday singing, You Are My Sunshine rates pretty high here.
The Itsy Bitsy Spider will stop any tears instantly.
There's this random song on a video H was watching the other day... it's set to videos of ships faring big waves and storms. LO loves that song. It's totally his jam. Here it is!
Do you have a special song you sing to him or her? A musical game? A recording they particularly respond to? Talk to me about music!
I'm a music professional so there is music 24/7 in our house and he heard it all day long while in the womb
First of all he LOVES watching his Daddy play guitar. Something about the way the fingers move and the strumming motion. When I play piano, it's more of a listening thing for him. He will go perfectly still and his eyes go wide and he just zones out. He is particular to Bach.
When I'm listening to music, I've noticed he really loves these big thumpy EDM tracks I tend to put on when we're driving - like Cazzette, The Presets, etc. He will even "sing" along and wiggle his body.
During bath time we listen to a lot of Raffi and also Ernie singing the Rubber Duckie song. My son will get the hugest grin on his face when I play that song and sing it to him.
Sometimes he's with me at Sunday morning choir practice, at the church I work at as pianist - and he majorly tries to "sing" during those rehearsals! It's super adorable but a bit distracting for the singers, so I've started bringing plenty of his teething toys to occupy him!
