sarasansh that's funny you say that. My students last year called me Mrs. Beasley. I thought they were just making it up because I don't really see it but I guess it is true. They asked me if my husbands name was Jim.
somethingcleverer I'm glad to hear your kids like Hollywood Studios. I really enjoy that park (Tower of Terror is my favorite!!) but wasn't sure if there would be enough there for Dagny to enjoy. Did you take mid-day breaks for the kids or did they do ok all day in the parks? Yeah shoot me a PM with her info! I've done a lot of research but feel like it'd be helpful working with a travel agent.
I think you could do HS as a half day for Dagny but they had the frozen sing along, beauty and the beast. Aubrey was a little to small for the Star Wars ride but I think they might make the requirement next year. We didn't make the Indiana jones show but our friends thought that Aubrey would enjoy it. We also ate at the sci fi diner which was lots of fun. We didn't have a reservation so we couldn't sit in one of the cars but it was still a fun experience. Went with my parents and sister and they hate being tied down to reservations which is really inconvenient at Disney! They just didn't get that it has to be like that at Disney.
mightybee congrats to your H on the offer! Would it be a big move??
It's coming along, finally!!! They just poured the basement floor Friday so the walls and roof should be up in the next two weeks. I'm SO excited for it to finally look like a "house" rather than just a dirt pit.
As for me Marriage: doing pretty well. We have good days and bad, but overall we're hanging in there and handling the new crazy with grace. His work schedule does suck, but it's also been helpful lately too because of E. We done get tons of time together though. Especially quality alone time, but hopefully that can change soon.
Baby: E is doing okay. She's still doing therapy 1-2x a week for her feeding issues. She's currently fed 100% through her g-tube.
News/changes: not much news around here, and that's OK with me! We don't need anymore big changes around here for awhile... We're slowly settling into the new house (very slowly)... But hopefully going to get some things more organized in the coming weekends.
Favorite weekend activities: Sunday is really our only family day, so anything together is good lately. The apple orchard was great, just the 4 of us.... I love being closer to family, but I'm still getting used to being close to family, ha. I really just want to have a few good weekends to do nothing but relax, organize, and veg out!

tribute17 did you ever pick a fall book to read? I was lurking the book board and was wondering what you decided to read.
Along the same lines: aimeefarrahfowler how are you doing with your stack of library books? Me Before You is one of my favorites, the sequel just came out but I might not read it because the reviews have been meh.

Well Patrick was so bad he forced me to read peaceful parent happy kid. I'm almost done with that and then I think I will try the night circus. I may also read blue lily lily blue. It's the 3rd in the raven boys series. Have you read those?

tribute17 I haven't read those. Maybe I should check them out because I've been in a bit of a book rut lately. I keep checking out Ebooks but nothing has grabbed my attention enough to stick with it. Even books I've really wanted to read I haven't been able to get into.
mightybee congrats to your H on the offer! Would it be a big move??
It wouldn't be that far for us. About an hour outside Philly. But the offer got my H thinking of looking at other teaching positions available around the country to see if he can find a better fit (location, school, etc). It's all up in the air right now!

I enjoyed them and they were pretty interesting that I didn't want to put them down. I've been in a rut too an can't seem to stay awake for a slow book. I need something that keeps my attention.
Oh another series that I thoroughly enjoyed was one by Marisa Meyer. The first book is Cinder. It was a little weird at first but it picked up and was fun. The fourth one is coming out soon.
bliz1712, jealous! We sold our Packers tickets this year (I get them every other year to go with my mom and sisters...my H sells them his year to help pay for the season tickets)
How's your marriage doing? blarg. We have so much stress right now with trying to get out condo on the market and sold/get used to living in a new town/figure out where we are going to live/plus a bunch of bullshit from H's former practice.
How is the new baby (if you have one)? Greta isn't that new anymore...she is just over a year, walking really well and just amazing me in general.
Any big news or big changes coming? we just moved into a rental, we are trying to sell our condo, and also try to find a new place to buy.
What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends? play with the kids outside right now (while it is still warm enough!)
tribute17 Sorry, I'm a few days late on this but my in laws were in town and I was busy entertaining my MIL. Our first foster baby was wonderful! She is gone now, she was adopted by a really sweet couple. She was such a good baby. She actually looked a lot like Emma did as a baby, like their photos are so similar, so it really made me miss Emma's squishy baby days. Why can't we got back just for a day?!?
Let's see, as for everything else: Marriage: fine. We disagree, are tired most of the time, watch too much TV, and rarely have sex. Totally normal, right?
No babies
No big news really. I've got the baby fever again. It comes and goes. Doubt anything will come of it.
We went to a neighborhood fall fair this weekend. Emma had a blast, like so much fun. My in laws were here and my MIl makes me insane. Praise Jesus they are gone now.
So nice to hear everybody's marriage is in good shape. Having small children is such a difficult time, it could stress and bend even the strongest marriages...
Marriage: We have been together for what it seems like eternity. Our marriage is solid, and I love my DH, but I am not in love with him. The sparkle is long gone. At the end of the day after we finally do all our chores and put kids to bed I have to make an effort to spend yet more time with DH instead of just go hit the bed or spend few minutes of along time. I don't crave that one on one time with him and this makes me sad. Even when we are spending time together we end up talking about kids or money. So we are becoming more of a "business partners" in a business called family then loving couple. Sorry it got long.
Baby : Oh I wish I had another one. Seriously, miss those squishies But not anymore for us.
What's new: No big news, but it seems like every month we get some unpleasant surprises on different fronts. Health, money, house, kids. All of that makes me very stressed and I am always in the state of alert for a new punch on the head from reality.
I planned a nice relaxing vacation for our family over Thanksgiving, hopefully it will give us some boost.
What do you like to do over weekend: Our weekends are always so busy - packed with activities, so I would say I like to do the opposite of that. I would like to have at least one day of lazy do nothing, lounging at the back yard with a huge drink kind of weekend.

Pretty good! Last week I read Landline and The Husband's Secret. Landline was like the #1 book on Goodreads for 2014 so I had pretty high expectations of it. It was pretty good, but not like OMGBESTBOOKEVER. The Husband's Secret was great. I was going to start The Nightingale next, but then I was at the library, I was supposed to just be returning stuff, but I saw "God, No!" by Penn Jillette (of Penn & Teller) and remembered I wanted to read it when it came out a few years ago, so I've been reading that this week. It's interesting, just kind of a change going from fiction to nonfiction. Should be finishing it today and then I'll start the Nightingale tomorrow.
I like Me Before You, but the ending kind of pissed me off. I think I have the sequel(s?) in my list to read at some point eventually.

Late to the game as always, but it's so good to hear how everyone is doing
How's your marriage doing? Pretty good? Better? I don't know. It's fine. H still goes out fishing too much and doesn't help out as much as he could around the house, but he's really improved himself this year (big promotion, kicked some bad habits) so I try and let the little things go.
How is the new baby (if you have one)? He's no baby! Tyler will be 18 months in a few weeks. He is a handful. He hits and bites and throws things. Lots of attitude.
Any big news or big changes coming? Gosh, I don't think so. Hopefully not. Staying the course for now. No moves planned, no more babies planned. I'd love to make some repairs/improvements on our house and sell it in 5 years or so and buy a bigger place, but that's long-term stuff.
What is your favorite thing to do on the weekends? I don't know if it's my favorite thing, but I take the boys to the library every Sunday, it's our routine. Most of time, Tyler stays in the stroller and we run in and drop off the old books and pick out new ones and leave. Sometimes we walk to the bakery down the street for a cookie or lunch. It's really not easy right now for me to take both boys out of the house by myself, but I'm hoping the more and more we do it, the easier it will get and the better behaved they will learn to be.
mrsdonati we're hopefully going to disney in a year. I have a friend with a Disney Vacation Club condo we may stay at, but I'll probably still need help figuring it all out!
