Wednesday Vent Day

So, I feel like doing this.

My pants won't button.  Pants that I wore three days ago with no problem won't button.  Great.

I have off and on symptoms which are driving me BSC and I don't know how I am going to survive until my appointment Nov 6 because I am a fucking lunatic this time around.  After being told this wouldn't happen for me, I am terrified that something will happen to this baby and I won't be able to handle it.  This has been one of the worst fucking years of my life and I am terrified that the bad streak is going to continue and the baby won't be healthy, or worse.

We had to put our ten year old dog down last night.  She had been with my in laws for 2 years because she did not approve of Tyler as a baby.  We had a plan to start bringing her back to our house, because she and Tyler were getting along again, slowly to ease her back in, starting this weekend.  We didnt' see this coming at all.  I am so sad.  

Fuck you, 2015.  I am so over this shit.

origamimommy, am so sorry to hear all of this! Dogs are family and I am so sorry for your loss.

I know you have had the worst year, but try to stay positive. Things happen for a reason and you need to focus on you and the baby even though the waiting game sucks! I am sure your hormones are not helping either. Hang in there and know that we care about you and will support you in any way we can.

2015 has definitely sucked, and I'm so sorry about your dog - that's never easy.

As for baby 2.0 - it's okay. Miracle babies happen every day. A friend of mine from college was told she would never have children of her own. After battling cancer twice and having chemo and radiation... she was told there was no way she would even get pregnant.... she has two very healthy and thriving kiddos, and has been cancer free for 9 years.

Doctors don't know everything, they only know what the numbers or the tests say... they don't know about miracles. They don't know how God has a plan for everyone and numbers and tests don't always show the real truth.

I pray that you and baby are A-ok and that things will go wonderfully for you. We are here for you, and will be here as a sounding board if you need us. Hang in there mama.

As for me, I'm going to add some vents:
Being closer to family is great, and being back in MN is great... but damn if I don't kinda hate that every fucking Sunday my H wants to sit his ass down to watch the Vikings (our only family day/week) either at his parents house or at ours with people over. But then complains until he's blue in the face that I haven't finished organizing my clothes/closet, or that there's stuff not unpacked/organized/hung on walls.

I try every fucking Sunday to get him to help me organize or hang stuff, but I only have 2-3 hours in the morning before the game starts, and then it's late and he doesn't feel like doing it...

I'm over it. I told him this weekend we're staying home, no one is coming over, and although he can have the game on, he's not sitting down and watching 100% of the game. He's helping me hang shit and organize stuff.

I'm sick of him getting up in arms that stuff isn't organized, but yet he doesn't help me with the big stuff I need to be able to organize!

origamimommy,sorry about your dog. I have 3 dogs that are 10+ and I dread the thought of having to make that decision. I hope your 2015 improves and I hope that 2016 is the best ever.

origamimommy, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. I know that this year has been rough on you but I hope that it keeps improving and everything looks great for baby #2 when you finally get in to see your OB.

My vent for today...I hoard weight while BFing and not only do I hoard it, I just keep packing on the pounds. I am not doing anything different than usual (except nursing/pumping less and supplementing)but I keep gaining weight. I realize that I am not burning as many calories now, but I eat relatively healthy, don't overeat, and really don't drink a whole bottle of wine every night (seriously I don't) so I just don't get it. I'm convinced that my hormones are just completely out of whack because I am just finishing my first PP period that was like something out of a horror film, and have been nauseous the last three days. I can't even fit into pants/jeans that I was wearing a month ago. I know that it was the same when I BF Henry but I don't remember putting on this much weight then...but since I can't remember yesterday I am sure I don't remember that correctly either.

My vent is Juno's sleep or rather lack of sleep lately. The past 3 weeks she wakes up in the middle of the night calling mommy, mommy while standing in her crib holding her blanket and baby doll. just ready for me to come in and get her...which i do since i dont want her to wake up Dahlia...so now i think its a pattern and it needs to stop....last night she was in bed with me, tossing and turning and moaning and i could tell she was congested too so here comes a cold...at one point she was literally horizontal to me with her feet in my neck. She slept 8-6 up until 3 weeks ago so I don't know what it is but I'd like it to pass.
and -knock on wood-no night terror since that one last week.

I'm not saying that I am overweight, because I know that I'm not...it's just that for some reason I am starting to put more weight back on, and it is all going right back to my abdomen area causing me not to be able to button my pants again. I legit had to put maternity jeans on this weekend because the larger sized jeans I bought after having Henry don't even fit anymore.

laurski81 - I'm sorry your body isn't cooperating. Its crazy the effect pregnancy/babies/kids, etc can have on your body.

My vent is I absolutely hate my job. I've told you all before the stupid crap my department pulls. I really screwed myself by passing on that job offer over the summer. While at the time I didn't feel it was the right path for my career, I feel like I'm at a total dead-end where I am. Since then, not much in the way of opportunities have opened up. I honestly feel like I'm in a mid-life crisis because I no longer have any clue what I want to do/where to go.

origamimommy, This has always helped me and I think I heard it on here. Just live each day and tell yourself that day that you are pregnant. Only focus on that day. I am a worry wart and my worries were getting to me too.

1) We have so much packing yet to do and we are quickly running out of time. It's really starting to stress me out.
2) I'm so over work right now, but I'm super busy trying to close a deal I've been working on since April so I really can't take time off. When it does close it'll be the largest of my career, but it's taking FREAKING FOREVER!

1) I emailed my SIL to request she pay me for an item she bought from us. She responded with "could she pay me for the difference between that and the amount I owe her for a fundraising item" VENT: I've already paid her and she apparently doesn't remember. So now when I see her today it might be awkward. I hope she remembers by then, otherwise I could be out an add'l 40.

2) It's our year end, so I can't slack off as much as I want to.

3) AF is here so my cravings/hunger are out of control

roo1582, I feel you on a job love/hate relationship. I could write the same word to word. You are in IT, right? Every day I come to work and think: man, I hate it here. I have been a developer for so many years that I am really over this rat race. Middle age crisis is what comes to my mind as well... Hugs, girl, hope you find yourself in a better place soon.

Thanks lkamenko. I'm sorry you're going through the same thing. I'm actually a data scientist doing research in an insurance company. My department has changed so much in the last three years, that essentially, my job is completely different from when I came here. I don't feel like I fit in with the direction it has been moving. But I also don't feel like I have any place to move to at this point.

The shop is closed at least until next September. There is no way i want to psy for 3 in daycare. And i want to be able to enjoy our 5 year anniversary trip to Hawai'i in Sept.

Take comfort in that you get to go 3 weeks earlier, and that it's only 2 weeks away!

I remember going right away when I was pg with J - but when I called about being pg with E they didn't want to see me for a lot longer, and I was like "WHAT?"  It was hard to wait, but I just kept telling myself - I'm not bleeding, and things are going just fine, things are just fine...  You're a healthy young woman, you've since stopped taking BC when you found out you were pg (you did, right?), and you're not bleeding red blood... so things are just fine.

laurski81 I always packed on pounds while BF and it sucked. It was so hard to keep the baby weight on for so long but you are giving Cece an amazing gift. At least that's what I would try to tell myself when I was really frustrated.


My vent is my bad tech. She is slowing me down. Yesterday she noticed a quantity issue when entering a script and didn't even mention it to me. When it gets to me to be checked I have to page the doctor. And we are busy. And the poor patient just got out of the hospital and I know she is miserable and not feeling well. Then after I hear back from the doctor the tech says oh yeah I saw that! Wtf??? that was something you could have taken care of all on your own but you choose not to do anything? Grrrrrrr. My poor patient. That's only one example there are so many more. The pharmacy manager won't do anything about her. I make suggestions on things that he might want to bring up but he never does. I ended up staying an extra hour yesterday just to clean up and I feel like if she didn't pull her bullshit I wouldn't have so much work to do after closing.

trixi282, of course, immediately!! Funny story, Tyler actually found it in my nightstand, and brought it to me saying, "Here's your candy mommy, you want some?" Kevin and I were cracking up and he goes, "That's sweet bud, but it's a little too late for mommy to be having that." I obviously threw it away after that, haha!

I threw up about 15 minutes ago, and honestly that was like, okay good--I am feeling pregnant.

somethingcleverer, it's not to do with a cancellation but that they don't want to see me until a certain point.

I actually just called a different office and scheduled with them because my doctor is not very responsive (took her a week to call in a prenatal for me), is abrupt, and I always wait forever and a day. This new doctor came highly recommended from multiple people, does all of her own ultrasounds (which I will get one my first visit!), and specializes in high risk, just in case. The appointment is on the same day but a little bit earlier in the day (yayyyy), so right now I'm feeling good about the switch!

+1 I have only lost about half of my pregnancy weight.  The other day I weighed myself and I gained 4 lbs back! WTF body and BF! I am eating pretty good and doing portion control.

origamimommy, Hugs. You have had a rough time this year, but are doing a great job. I know that 2016 will be better for you and your family. I am sorry about your dog. It is always hard to lose a pet.
