Hi ladies I hope you are all getting great sleep! I'm up for Max's first feeding tonight.
I'm done feeding him and am enjoying his sweet snuggles, I just want to hold him close forever. After I went to bed tonight a friend of mine texted me that she had went into labor and delivered her little girl at 21 weeks, baby girl was too early and I'm just crushed for my friend. I have no idea what to say to her and feel so incredibly sad. I told her that her Dad is rocking her sweet angel baby and my mom is hovering over his shoulder waiting her turn (we've been friends since childhood our moms were best friends, she lost her dad a couple of years before I lost my Mom) Sorry to start off on a sad note but this has kept me awake since 10:30pm (its 1:22am here).
spikesmom I'm so sorry for your friend that's a horrible loss and I'll say a prayer for her.
LO woke up at 2:30am instead of her usually 4am and has been up on and off demanding a paci ever since (not hungry - just wants to suck). She was extra sleepy yesterday and guzzled a big bottle of formula after nursing last night before bed...I think it's a growth spurt (she's 8w). Perfect timing, as I just woke up with mastitis symptoms (2nd time since dd's been born), and in my "good" boob ? Of course dh isn't around to help me tomorrow as he's going back to work for the first time this week due to snow, so I'll have to lug LO to the pharmacy and suffer through fever by myself. Excellent
Aw man! I'm so sorry about your friend spikesmom! That just breaks my heart. Dear friend or not, you don't have to know what to say, and sometimes that's the best thing to say.
Ugh, that sucks about the mastitis aluzitano! I hope you feel better soon.
It's funny 'cos my baby was really sleepy yesterday too. She took two three-hour naps. Then, since she took her last evening feeding early, we're doing our motn feed two hours early too! She's 10 weeks. I can never tell with her!
Day 4 of being up and dressed in time to leave when I go back to work. DD is passed out right now for her morning nap and I'm watching Heart of Dixie on Netflix.
spikesmom so sorry to hear about your friend. It is such a tough situation. I wouldn't know what to say either.
Liam got up every 2 hours on the dot to eat. Im so tired. He has his two month appt today. Hoping he sleeps all day after his shots.
Yupppp I'm nursing Norah again right now. She got up at 2:30, 4:30, 5:40, and 7. W. T. F. Soooooo tired Also, my fever broke but now I'm sweating like a pig!!! Today should be interesting.
spikesmom I am so sorry for your friend. I know someone that had a late first tri loss and all I could say to her was "there are no words, nothing I can say can make this better". It is so sad, I cannot even fathom the emotions. I don't even want to imagine how horrible it would feel. Hugs to you and your friend.
spikesmom My heart is breaking for your friend. Praying for her and her family.
Coop is an excellent sleeper. I honestly don't know how we got so lucky. All week he has been getting up at 5 am on the dot. I was used to him sleeping till at least 7 (again I know we are extremely lucky!). This little babe is actually training ME for going back to work in a week and a half! I will just miss the mid morning nap.
Also, how is it Thursday already? My mind is blown how fast time flies. Do I really have a 10 week old??
spikesmom I'm so sorry for your friend, that's so tragic :-(
I can't believe today is my last day of mat leave. I have grand plans to get a ton of stuff done today, yet here I am snuggled on the couch. I need to get my ass in gear.
Also, DS napped in his crib for the first time yesterday! We're hoping to get him completely transitioned to the crib in the next week or so. I'm hoping that napping in a crib at daycare will help him feel more comfortable in it.
spikesmom very sad to hear about your friend. There really are no words. jessa1228 soak up your last day! Hope you two have a great day together!
I'm meeting my bff and her 14 month old at the big stock show in Fort Worth today. It's my first day trip with her and I'm nervous about nursing in public. Bringing a bag of milk and my pump as backup in case I chicken out. I hope I don't!
spikesmom that is terrible. I can't even imagine. My thoughts are with her and with you, so you may help her through this.
aluzitano your LO is 8 weeks? It will get better. I thought I was making headway and getting 3 hour stretches but there is definitely an 8 week spurt. It got much, much better by 10 weeks. I've had to fight my LO for naps and for those 3 hour stretches, but now I am getting him to sleep during the day much easier and he is going 3 hours between feedings, and up to 4 at night. Hang in there.
So I made H breakfast while he fed Liam. The coffee grinder wasn't working. I dropped everything I touched. The trash was full. I asked him if he could take the trash out. He took the small pile on top of the trash that I made while making his breakfast. I asked if he changed Liam's diaper, he said no.
I go to change it and it's a huge poop. I said 'did you smell that he had poop?' And he said 'yup' wtf? Normally he is literally 50% and doesn't even need me to ask for anything. What the hell with today? He knows how much Liam was up. Grr
I slept like shit last night. LO just went down for his 45 minute morning nap. He was breathing noisily through his nose last night, I think he's finally getting over the cold he had and his nose is dry even with the humidifier. He passed out after he ate so I didn't change him and let him sleep. I'm trying to take the break to tweeze these eyebrows. I miss having extra cash to have someone else do this shit lol but I can't justify it when I've been off work for 4 months.

You should ask him if he wants to die today.
That's the question I ask my husband when he's being a complete jackass.

spikesmom That is so sad. Just be there for her and let her talk if she wants. No words from you can comfort or help, really.
M went down for the night before 10pm!!! There is hope on the horizon, gals. I'm going to need my rest, too, because I'm going over and watching twin 5 yos for a friend today.

I surprised my Dad with take out from the Outback. I just showed up at dinner time with a steak dinner and cheesecake. He was the happiest ever. It was his birthday. Today my lunch is a sad sack of sad. DH left the potatoes out over night. So now it's just BBQ chicken and bread. I don't really have the option of take out. Also my appetite is crazy lately.

spikesmom - Such heartbreaking news. Your friend will be in my prayers!
I stopped by our hall bathroom on my way to get lo this morning & noticed the garbage can was directly in front of the toilet. Now I'm rocking lo wondering if Dh got sick in the middle of the night & if he did, why it didn't wake me. Poor guy! Hope he is ok!
Edited to add Dh is fine. I asked him about the garbage can and he told me he sometimes uses it to put his computer on when he knows he's going to be awhile. Whhaaaa?!?!?
LO has been particularly fussy the last couple of nights. She's been up a good chunk in the middle of the day and not napping as much. Maybe I just need to "make" her nap in case that is contributing to the grouchiness. She's signaling hungry, but then battles the bottle and cries. Does this only in the evening hours.
DH took the 3 AM feeding for me, he is off today. Then when Gio got back up at 6, he says "can you get him this time?" sigh....yeah, sure, why not ? I have to get up and get ready for work anyways. DH and Gio were both sleeping when I left the house. Slackers....
I REALLY need to do Gio's nails....I have been trying for 2 days now, but every chance I get, he is awake and he won't let me do it.
I did get my legs shaved in the shower this morning....that was long overdue. I feel like my house is in shambles anymore....I just can't get a handle on things. Between work, taking care of LO and trying to sleep, keeping dishes done, and cooking dinners, I have no time to spare at all. I need a maid.
Lol tacocat I should ask him about that death wish
gldnbearz Liam needs help going to sleep during the day for naps, otherwise by 5 Til about bedtime he is so fussy, nonstop screams/cries battles the bottle, everything. Ever since I took the time to notice his subtle 'I'm tired but don't know I have to sleep' cues, I rock him and sing the same song every day. He starts sighing along and falls asleep pretty quick. Evenings have been pleasant ever since.
He is ready for his appt! (I can't with this outfit lol. I'm a sucker for fake shoes and ties)

I highly recommend hiring cleaners. We only have them come once a month, but then there's no arguing about cleaning the bathrooms or vacuuming. We're fairly neat people, so the house never looks really bad anyway.

I would do your brows if I were there. I am licensed in waxing. I do all my friends and my sisters free of charge.
