DH got a call and set up an interview for Thursday. Now we both have interviews that day. Eek! The job is something he would really enjoy and isn't set up with a union and is half the distance away. It's also DAYS which he's never worked. I'm trying to stay calm in case it doesn't work out but this would be perfect for us.
mevaroo you can take the girl out of Canada, but you can never take the canadian out of the girl!
COTTON KILLS!
Let's just say I learned my lesson the hard way and froze during a day of skiing. And DH was very into mountaineering when we met, so he knows all about the layers too.

I've always been a cat person. I used to be afraid of dogs and therefore disliked them. This damn dog of my BIL's is so well behaved. LO loves him and they play together. He makes him laugh. It's been 4 days and I'm ready to get rid of my cat for a dog.
ETA: I'm not really going to get rid of my cat, in case that wasn't clear.

Hey everyone! I tried to follow along at work today, but I kept getting logged out, so only sporadic give a ducks from me.
Add me to the list of people whose husband drops all the things in places they don't belong. And as an added bonus, he puts trash next to, but not in, the trash can. It's my favorite.
We finally broke down and hired cleaners because with babies and nausea and other things I have been a terrible house keeper. This might be the best decision ever. The whole house looks better than it did when we moved in. I'm elated. I still feel mildly awkward about it, but I'm happy.
I just wanted to check back in and say thanks for all the love for LO's birthday today. It really means a lot to me. You ladies are the best. I haven't been around much today so I just want to offer (((hugs))) to all that need it.
chiawombat yay! The awkwardness fades but never completely goes away.
shellbell I'll contribute for Greys but I don't watch the other shows.
I was actually hoping to talk to you this morning about this because I had questions, but then they moved the appointment up two hours and my questions became moot points. Darn them! (Not really, amazing women... I love you. Don't go away!)
I don't know why we bough a walking toy. LO is currently using a box as one. He has also used the ottoman that came in the box. However, the fisher price elephant sits abandoned in a corner.
ETA: This can also double as a pic of our cluttered table to go with everyone else's
Guise, I need your help with my outfit for tomorrow. In keeping with my lyfe, tomorrow afternoon I will be chaperoning outdoor ice skating. It will be 25 degrees. I have available: jeans, long johns, fleece tights, regular tights, leggings, turtlenecks, sweaters, and sweatshirts. What combination do I go with?
Omg! I'm good at this. NO COTTON. What of those items do you have that are not cotton? fleece leggings are good for the bottom.
I need to watch 6.5-10. 6 really isn't doing it for me, so I haven't been watching it for almost a month.
Which season is 6?
The one that comes after five... J/k. I don't remember what happens in each specific season because I binged 1-9 in like three or four weeks. It's all a giant blur to me.
I still need to watch season ten of Grey's... Thank goodness for Netflix.
I need to watch 6.5-10. 6 really isn't doing it for me, so I haven't been watching it for almost a month.
It all gets so ridiculous. Not that it wasn't to begin with... I stuck it out a.) because I have the need to finish a series even if it's terrible, and b.) because I had just had a baby and needed a "new" show.
bluedot it's after someone dies (don't want to spoil it for anyone), lay offs, Owen and Christina... I don't know. These middle episodes are just hard to get through.
Ahhh ok yes if I'm thinking of the right one then yea I get it... Hang in there!

shellbell! You need to go to lane Bryant. Sparkle sweat pants on clearance plus also you need this shirt. (It says "this year I will sparkle wherever I go)
And general Lane Bryant PSA all jeans are $50 even Seven jeans! Which basically never happens.
I have two problems that I'm wondering if F14 can help me with.
First, any daycare teacher or anybody with bigs have a trick to stop DD from thinking it's oh so funny to run away from mama every time it's time to get dressed at the end of the day and/or throw a fit?
Second, our ball pit has a hole on the seam at the bottom corner. Putting a patch did not work. Any other trick to fix it?
Duct tape? How long have you had it, maybe contact the manufacturer and get a replacement.
What ever happened with @katm#s and her work situation?
Thanks for asking! It's just been a crazy busy week so I haven't been able to update. Plus, it's still going on. We talked at length yesterday about my email, and she's trying to work the numbers and get back with me when she's in the office tomorrow. It's basically all B.S. but she knows I'm not staying in the position without giving me the money I was promised. Which I'm 99% sure she won't so I'm planning to go back to my old hours effective Monday, which she said she understood. So I think tomorrow she'll just be working on who else wants to take the position I'm currently in. I did it this week only because there wasn't any one else to step in.
F me. Now my photographer friend texted me asking if she can bring her kids to L's shoot (1 yr and 3 yr). I said sure, we can try to make it work, just wondered how the little one would do if we went out side or something? She said nevermind, she would try to find another sitter. I told her she can do whatever she would like, we can make it work. I also said if it's too hard for her to travel here, to let me know and I will try to find someone else. She hasn't responded.
That's a cluster for sure. Sorry pal.
Eeesh that sounds like a recipe for disaster... hopefully she can work something out with a sitter...
babybunnysmama Good idea to try duct tape. It was a Christmas gift. I don't have the box anymore and I've tried to find the manufacturer online and I can't find it.
Anybody know the manufacturer of this?
On amazon it says by TMNT... is that it's own manufacturer?
Oh my gosh, ladies, I'm overwhelmed. Thank you SO much for all your support and well wishes today.
So the good news is my doc took everything very seriously. I actually had a breakout this afternoon so I could show her what it looks like, and she thought it was "particularly angry looking." She even said "I could just put you on a regimine to control the hives, which are obviously the most troubling piece, but I want us to understand what's causing them."
The bad news is... she doesn't know what's causing this, either. She ordered a bunch MORE tests, and wants me to see an immunologist. The one she's referring me to is in her practice and also will do full battery allergy testing should nothing come of what I've done so far.
So no answers, but I feel incredibly supported by my PCP as well (my endo is already someone I trust implicitly), which is a step in the right direction.
I'm in a love/hate relationship with Shutterfly right now. I ordered a bunch of prints of my month by month photos to make a banner for LO's birthday party next weekend. They showed up today and a few of them are TERRIBLE... color balance is off and on one, they cut off the top of her head (despite me adjusting the cropping on each photo individually so that wouldn't happen).
Their customer service was really nice and they're reprinting the messed up ones for free, but I won't get them until Tuesday. I was really hoping to finish this little project Sunday night once we got her year photos done.
