I hate when people say "Do you know what I mean?" Like actual rage. If I didnt know what you meant I would be sure to fucking let you know.
My grandma (who is BSC) always says "Hmmmm, whattya say??" after every convo she starts. She knows damn well that I'm not listening to her and don't want to respond about her retched bowel movement episode.

I mean sure once or twice in the conversation is cool. But you dont have to pause the conversation every other sentence to ask if I know what you meant. Especially if we are talking about just general things.

I figure people that say those sayings do it unintentionally. It's become a crutch saying. I've had to stop myself from saying I know right? After people say things I agree with.

I feel like you're almost challenging us to say do you know what I mean at the end of everything we say.

Watching HGTV with an actual contractor is like watching Law and Order with a cop or a lawyer. It's all so wrong it hurts.
some of the stuff is really surprising... like no GFI plugs anywhere in the kitchen. Or an entire bedroom without any fucking outlets on a single wall (*!@#!@%$!). Or just gluing drywall directly to exterior block walls instead of framing and insulating it (#$!@#$!@#)

So on house hunters, they are far into the contract on the house they picked?
I'm trying to read through but I wanted to put in my two cents regarding this.
My only experience is with international house hunters and it's as fake as you can imagine. There was an episode for a beach house in Ecuador and the family that was featured had bought the house in question almost two years before they were ever approached by the show. All the houses that were featured as options were houses where their expat friends live.
