Thanks everyone. Got the symphony, pumped an extra ounce and a half in slightly less time this morning. Is there a good way to use it to pump one side at a time? I hate the hands free bra and my arms hurt from holding both against my boobs for 20m. :/
I use our boppy and then my hands free bra at work. Just a thought
Are you saying you rest the bottles/collection stuff on the boppy or you arms? I am intrigued.
Maybe a different hands free bra would help? I love my Arden by Dairy Fairy. Why do you hate yours? As for the pump, you just have to open the top of the symphony and remove the circle part attached to the tube to pump one sided.
Definitely worth trying another bra if I am going to stick with this a few more months. I'm an F cup (I think) and the strapless one I have feels terrible especially with the added weight of the bottle and milk. Also I pump into glass bottles, which are heavy.

I wrap the boppy around my waist prop my boobs on it and sort of wedge the flanges against it. I can use one arm to keep the flanges until they get a good suction then I pretty much have two free hands.

If that makes sense?
I don't use the bra at home. Just the boppy.
I use just the bra at work and keep working while I'm pumping.
A hospital pump made a HUGE difference for me. I didn't think it would but my doula pushed me to try it. I rented a Hygeia Endeare for a few weeks, then ended up finding an Enjoye for only $100 brand new on craigslist. I get more milk and definitely in a shorter time. If you can swing it to rent, it's at least worth a try IMO.
ETA: I'm in an EP Facebook group and they rave about the Spectra 2 a lot!
Any chance you could share that group with me also? I've been between buying a Spectra and renting a Symphony but would love more information from experienced ladies.
I just got the spectra 2. It's hospital grade but was $227 on Amazon. I haven't tried it yet so can't say how well it works. Reviews were fantastic though and it'd pay for itself compared to $70 per month. My insurance will reimburse the purchase price of this which you may want to check as well.
I have been using a Spectra 2 since we got home from the hospital last week. It is head and shoulders above my experience with the PISA. I also bought it on Amazon will and was reimbursed with flex spending account money.

I got the dairy fairy bra-- like changing. I think it, combined with hospital grade pump, will allow us to make it to/past 6mo of only breast milk...also the one time we tried feeding LO neocate it was a complete train wreck. Thanks raechay!

LOVE hearing this because I really want the spectra instead of the PISA.
