Stupid FTM question here... but how do I even go about finding day cares or nanny shares or anything like that in my area? I don't know anyone who lives around here with kids (or anyone having babies in general - which is sorta why I joined this board).
Some states have searchable databases. We googled and yelped all of them in the geographical area we would consider and asked friends and coworkers and then set up tours at 5 based on reviews and recommendations. We pretty easily narrowed it down to three based on the tours, buildings, academics (yes this is a thing) and then chose based on availability, price. Etc from our top 3. He's been there almost 4 years so it's been good.
I don't love/need coffee anymore. It's so odd. I thought it'd be hard to transition to half-caf, but it wasn't at all and then we ran out of coffee yesterday and I have no interest in buying more.
+1 It's just not tasting good right now.
I've been taking my coffee with coconut milk for some time now because we were doing a whole30, but all of a sudden I can't stand the coconut milk anymore. It's really throwing me off and I love my coffee!!

I work at a big university, and there is an active parent mailing list that is very well used and an absolute wealth of info on this sort of thing. If you live near a large university, check out their work-life balance website. Many options are not just for university affiliates.
Is anyone watching the world series? I'm not even ashamed to admit that I'm pretty pumped about taco bell giving free a.m. crunch wraps for every stolen base.

This is a great idea and should be helpful for me as I have an academic affiliation. Thanks!

frecklesnbrains, Call the nearest DPW Head Start office. They can provide you with a full list of all day cares of different types - large setting/home care/people that only watch one or two.
