I am looking forward to our trip to Disney the first part of December. I'm so excited and it's a surprise for the girls.
I don't want to deal with my grandma being sick. She was diagnosed with leukemia this month and it doesn't seem like the chemo is helping. She's such an active and vibrant person. It's so hard to see her like this. I'm praying that he chemo works and I'm so scared it won't. I also don't know how to explain all of this to the kids very well. The whole situation just stinks.
I'm asking for new shoes for Christmas. Pre baby I had tons of cute shoes but my feet grew a size so I only have flip flops and tennis shoes that fit. After 3 years I think it's time to expand my choices.

I'm sorry to hear about your gramma. That is definitely not something I would look forward to. Hopefully she can pull through.
Totally out your way. I know that I will have to come out at least 3 times next year for this management training program but I'm not sure of any exact dates or anything like that yet. The only things I'm excited about is being able to have uninterrupted sleep and hanging out with you again!!
summergirl1211,Can you imagine how drunk we would get laurski81, if she came to the twin cities? I mean clearly there are 4 of us here to gang up on her. origamimommy, we have you outnumbered. mwahahaha.
xanthepants, yes! But we would do it early enough in the day so she could sleep a good, long time afterwards.
Ahhhh...I so wish we had a facility out your way!! I would make any and every excuse to come out there often!!
Other than heading back to OH I will definitely have to go to PA (actually I think pretty close to sarasansh), and possibly CA. Our CA facility is near Disneyland...

Thanks. I'm getting paranoid that something bad is going to happen while we're at Disney. I'm hoping she gets good news at her next appointment.
laurski81 near Disneyland?! I'm only about an hour away!!!
Yes! Our warehouse is in Santa Ana but the hotel that I would stay at is on the same street as Disney! When that trip is finalized I will let you know!!

Looking forward to: BOSTON!!! I go every year now and my trip is a week from Saturday!!!!!!!!!! To say I'm excited would be an understatement. Uninterrupted sleep in a hotel, ridiculous amounts of food and wine, and my best friends for 3 days. YAYAYAY Also, my H and I are going to take a trip (just us, FIRST TIME since Ingrid was born) in January for my birthday. I haven't decided where yet, but the current contenders are Key West and New Orleans
Not Looking forward to: Um, work stress. I'll be working insane amounts of overtime through the end of the year at least, and maybe for a while after if the hiring freeze remains in place. I got approval for a workstation to set up at home, so at least I now have double monitors and a docking station so I can work after the kids go to bed rather than put in long hours in the office.
Want for Christmas Nothing thrilling - I've got my eyes on a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and blue tooth headphones.

Well boo. Maybe you could fly into Minneapolis and come up with some crazy reason for needing to do an overnight layover? We could meet you at the airport. The Mall of America and some nice hotels are only a few blocks away! (I know I'm reaching, but thought I'd give it a shot!)
looking forward to: Family photos - I got us a great deal (read: free) on some family pictures. The woman is someone I "met" through a MN special needs FB group and she offered up free sitting fees for anyone who wanted pictures in the group - with only $5/pic for digital downloads. Her work is mostly sports stuff, so family stuff isn't stellar, but I'm poor/cheap right now and just want some nice pictures of us all together without having to tell a family member what to do... I want to do a Christmas card, and I really want to update some of our framed photos before I hang them up with year old pictures. I can edit them myself if I have to.
Not looking forward to: Winter... I'm not ready yet. It was rainy and started to flurry yesterday and I just kept thinking that I'm not ready yet. Fall wasn't long enough... I missed spring almost completely, and I'm just not ready for winter.
One thing I want for Christmas: A new "Nice" winter coat. Last year H got me a nice warm coat, but it's a snow/ski jacket type. My nice "wool" coat i got rid of a few years ago because it had seen better days... it was like 15 years old - it had a good run. But I want a nice professional winter coat to wear to work.
Looking forward to: The holidays! We are traveling to see both my sisters and DHs sister for Thanksgiving and my ILs will be here with us for Christmas. Glad we will be home to celebrate Christmas but also be with family. Also I plan to run a marathon in March and May sign up for a 50 mile ultra in June - will sign up when they open up registration in January as long as I am injury free at that time. (Yes I am crazy)
Not looking forward to/not deal with: traveling for thanksgiving. 11 hours to sister 1, a few days later 3 hours to sister 2, a few days later 3.5 hours to SIL, and then 6 hours home. It seems crazy but it really does make some sense if I drew a map.
Christmas wish list: All things running. Will need new shoes, as I will have run 500 miles on my "new" shoes by Christmas. I may have to get a new pair before then so maybe a Garmin watch, running clothes, a hydration pack, that sort of thing.
1. Just seeing where this foster care experience takes us. Loving on these sweet babies. Coming up: DH and my annual Black Friday weekend away! Emma stays with my mom after thanksgiving and DH and I take a short trip, shop the sales, and do whatever we want kid free all weekend!
2. DH is working late all week/weekend. It makes for long evenings getting both kids dinner/baths/bed.
3. I want built in cabinets for the playroom and laundry room. #OldLadyDreams
What are you looking forward to in your life right now? Anything coming up? hopefully selling our condo quickly. Apparently the photographer was in there yesterday...I really really want to see the pictures!
What are you not looking forward to? Anything you would rather just not deal with? paying rent and a mortgage for the next few months. Money stress ball over here.
What is one thing you would ask for for Christmas? I really want/need a new pair of nice jeans.
