We're planning on hanging with family during the day on Saturday and then we'll hand out candy at our house. Last year we got about 100 trick or treaters. Guess that means I need to buy candy today/tomorrow.

My dog woke me up pacing the bedroom this morning at 6:40. I was not pleased.
We just hand out candy that night, although much more exciting for me -- the tree guys are coming to cut back a bunch of trees that overhang our power lines and my garden! They've been telling me they would come for a week so I'm excited for it to finally happen! Yes, am total nerd.
Ahh my brakes went almost completely out as I was leaving my neighborhood this morning on the way to drop off DS at daycare and go to work! I was able to turn around and make it home and now have an appointment at a dealership to get the brakes fixed. Hopefully I can get a rental car quickly so I can make it in to the office by late morning.
Follow-up u/s this afternoon. I'm totally anxious today and was really snippy with DH and G this morning and now I feel bad.
I'm heading to my hometown on Saturday for a bridal shower and then taking G trick or treating somewhere. My mom lives in the country and has no neighbors so we'll crash a random neighborhood in town I guess!
I'm being a Halloween Scrooge. DH is out of town, and my dog goes nuts with all the people coming to the door so I'm going to hide out in my basement watching TV with all the lights off upstairs. Next year I'll join back in the festivities.

We're going trick or treating with friends and their little boy. With a 7 mo and 13 mo old I doubt we'll be out long. I also have to go shopping for a bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding this winter.
We are taking DD to DHs work for trunk or treating. Mostly just to walk around in her costume. I'm excited its get first time and I made her a cat costume. Then we are passing out candy.
So after all the switching from crib to bed talk I decided to ask DD last night if she wanted to sleep in her big girl bed and she said yes so we tried it and it took her longer to fall asleep but she did well and woke a couple times but went back to sleep real quick. She was up at 5:40 though! That was not fun! Anyone else who has done to switch with an older child have this happen and about how long before it got better? She already wakes between 6 and 6:30 but 5:40 is just not ok!

I'm with KevinMac... Gonna ignore the trick or treaters. We live in the city on the 3rd floor so we rarely get many anyways.
My mother is coming to visit this weekend. I'm trying to decide whether or not to tell her about the pregnancy. I had been planning on waiting until 10-12 weeks to tell anyone. My mom and I aren't particularly close, but she's still my mom. I may not be able to keep it in. We had been planning to hike but it looks like it's going to be rainy so we may need to change our plans. I have no idea what to do with her!

We have trick or treat tonight with friends and their daughter (my son and their daughter are BFFs, so it'll be really fun!). That's basically all we're doing.
Random, though. This pregnancy is keeping me on my toes. It is so different than my first pregnancy. I haven't gotten sick except a couple of times, and my first I was sick 24/7 until 30 weeks. I also am already in maternity pants. They are too large, but my pants absolutely do not fit me any longer. I haven't gained any weight, but of course I feel like a total fat ass since I am like ~7 weeks and can't button my pants.

GOmamab15, that is seriously a ton of trick-or-treaters!! Wow!
We live in a condo, so unfortunately we don't get any trick-or-treaters Usually we go out for Halloween, but I am so tired this year we are doing a scary movie night! I am pretty excited it will just be DH and I snuggling the pup on the couch!
DS & I will be handing out candy this year since DH is working. I'm so excited to see him in his Halloween costume. He's going to be an Ewok! Lol I'm such a dork.

We have friends and DH's brother in law and his family coming over for dinner (pizza, probably) before the kiddos go trick or treating. Our neighborhood gets a TON of trick or treaters! DS is going as Martin Kratt (if you don't spend time with 4-7 year old kids, you probably don't know who this is) and my nephew is going as Chris Kratt.
I'm so frustrated. My twin sister has Down syndrome and my Mom went to dinner last night with a bunch of ladies (6-8) that we used to go to church with. It was like a reunion dinner. Well, my sister has no filter. I decided to tell her I was pregnant. Bad idea, she told everyone there and they all have kids my age! I was so stressed by it I barely slept last night since I've only told a few of our best friends. My mom feels terrible. It's not our fault since she can't control what my sister says but still. Ugh.

My first u/s is tomorrow morning and I'm so anxious for it. Can it be Friday already? We have pumpkin carving today at school so I'm leaving work early so DS can participate!

I am hungry all. the. time. Nothing sounds good - and I'm already scared that I'm going to gain 50 pounds this time around too. I was down to my pre-pregnancy weight until i started distance running - then my butt and my thigh got huge and my weight went up in accordance. I had to stop running because of an injury so now my formally toned butt and thighs are just big squishies. I hate my body.
Hi guys! My BFF from high school is coming out for a visit with her kids this weekend and dropping off a ton of hand me down clothes for DS. I am pretty pumped about that. We will also dress up DS and take him to see a couple of neighbors. We get a couple hundred trick or treaters every year (our neighborhood is a prime TOT location with lots of houses close together). I had bought plenty of candy already but much of it seems to have gone missing in the last week....
Flair Underwood, I am dying at your "Tag" LOL. I can relate to the being hungry all the time. And also to being unhappy with my body. I try very hard to let those thoughts go, but it's hard.
Aww, I love that she's excited txmommy14 but frustrated for you that you didn't get to share your news on your terms and when you're ready. Was your mom able to say anything to the others to help minimize the potential of it spreading even further?
