I'm trying to be upbeat this morning since I have been in such a funk lately & it's going ehh. DS has a doctor's appointment today so looks like I need to put on some actual clothes & do my errands too. Real pants suck but we will see how it goes. Haven't gained any weight yet but the damn things are soo tight. Bloat sucks
I can't decide what's worse, puking up water and bile or actual food. Drinking a full glass of water this morning when I got up wasn't the best idea. Now I can't bring myself to drink anymore...
I also have a lot of mommy/housewife guilt this morning. I caved and booked a house cleaner to clean my house. I hate how I'm not on top of it and am embarrassed. And feel guilty. And I hate spending the money too, but the stress it's causing also isn't good. Can you tell I have mixed feelings??

I hate puking up water I just drank.
If you don't mind me asking how much did a house cleaner cost. I've been thinking about because I'm so far behind & it needs a good clean.

cattuccino, no shame at all! I'd totally book a house cleaner if it were in our budget. Especially now when 1st trimester is making you feel like crap. I'm just adjusting to living amongst the clutter and piles of cat fur.
cattuccino, I feel like you will feel so much better when you house is cleaned - it is such a big stress when you feel your house is overwhelming you! I have a someone come every couple of weeks and honestly she is a life-saver. To me it is so worth the money.

Feeling this shitty is only temporary, you have to do what you have to do to get through this time. I've been a crappy mom, spouse, house keeper and cook during this time. All of my energy goes to work because we need the income and I'm working on a big raise.
jlabbe1123, I know you didn't ask me, but I pay $120 per cleaning. BUT I do live in an condo so it is only two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, and our living space area. Often times you find find specials through Groupon or Living Social.
We had a staff day yesterday so I wasn't in my school building. I got back today after taking a half day Monday for my appointment to find that my sub didn't find my plans. So everything I left for my classes didn't get done. It's so frustrating.
All this talk of cleaning reminds me I really need to clean my house. We had a cleaner, but she only came once a month. I told DH to cancel her because I can handle once a month with a little upkeep in between.
My dog had me up four times last night. He needed to go out twice, wanted food at 2am and once was just up barking. I hate when he is restless like that.

I got quoted 165 (CDN!) for my 4 bedroom house, about 3000 sq ft (we're omitting a few rooms so maybe more like 2500 sq ft). It seemed quite reasonable for an initial clean. She quoted me 130 if we did biweekly afterward.

Cleaners come every two weeks, and it is one of my favorite investments.
GL on your test today, bighair!
So far today I have eaten: a Larabar, two eggs with pesto and goat cheese on toast, two pieces of Halloween candy (more surely to come). It's 9:30am. How do you make that emoji face with the bulging eyes of WTF am I doing? Can't stop.

I swear I thought the first thing you said you had eaten was a Labrador!! Pregnancy cravings FTW!

pbandj714 you should look at local quilting stores, they usually offer classes on how to get started with sewing/quilting. I took one a couple of years ago, I think it was four classes for maybe $100?

That's a good idea! There is a local shop that has classes and also services machines I've been meaning to go to. My aunt gave me her old machine, an 80s Singer, so I'm sure it could use a tune-up before I start learning.

Yes, definitely get it serviced before you start the class. My place usually charges $75 for a service, I think. A lot of dust can get into the machine and they will also fix the thread tension as part of the servicing, which will prevent a lot of frustration on your part.

A coworker said to me this morning, 'Oh, really?! You're only 30? I thought you were older."
She then backtracked and made this really surprised face and said, "oh, i just meant because you're professional and a director and everything." mmmmmh - hmmmm.
