My dad had a stroke yesterday. It was a mini stroke but he was unable to talk or walk. The dumbass drove 45 min from work after it happened, though. He didn't tell us til hrs later and we took him to hospital. He's ok for now. No bleed in brain. Doing MRI and work up today. Keeping eye on him next few days. Both his parents died from stroke. A couple mini ones then bam! My dad is 63 and already had 3 heart attacks plus he's afib and had an ablation done 2 weeks after P was born. He's not heavy. He was a golden glove boxer, black belt and about the strongest guy I know. He can do anything and would do anything....for anyone. Please say a prayer for him. Not so much for right now, because he's ok, right now...but for in the future that this never happens, again.

Praying for you and your family. My dad had a massive stroke when he was 60, spent 2 weeks in ICU. My parents are divorced and I had to make all the medical decisions and be his power of attorney and stuff; it was horrible. He rehabbed amazingly well and has been healthy and vibrant for the last five years with no recurrence! Hang in there.... I know it's very stressful!
callmeal that makes me feel better there was no recurrence. And his situation was much worse than my dads! The stress test today showed an afib episode so they said hr is going to need heart surgery, again. This is all because his cardiologist told him to stop meds! I'm furious!
