housecarder, can't wait for your ultrasound update!
I have 3 sisters and we all went on vacation to OBX every year as kids and each got a build a bear there. I have a 4 year old cousin who is reaping the benefits of our 20+ bears and outfits.

I'm really hungry today. I went to the gas station and got a bag of Doritos just to satisfy my crunchy craving, and might end up eating the whole bag for lunch. Must. Walk. Tonight.
I'm so hungry but when I think about food it makes me gag. Not cool stomach not cool.
I've never been to build a bear. Would a 2 year old like it?
A 2 YO might be a bit young, basically there's an unstuffed bear, you put a little fabric heart in it, stuff it and pick out an outfit for you. There's actually all kinds of bears and other animals so you get to pick that out too. It's on the expensive side so I might wait until 3 or 4 where the kid would really remember it.
It's OK so far. Being the new person is the worst when you feel like you have no idea what you're doing. Luckily, I transferred to this division from another division of the same company so it's not all foreign to me. But really - right now I just want to eat all the foods and take a nap. Not exactly something I can do when I'm the "new" girl. Timing of this transition is not idea.
AND...there are 2 girls here (in a small department of like 10) who are going out on maternity leave in January. It's going to be awesome when I tell them I'm expecting too....Not.

Ugh, I can't imagine starting a new job in this state. New jobs are hard enough without feeling foggy and sick. I'm sure you're knocking em dead
Hey, at least those 2 girls will be back by the time you're going on leave, right?

So.... I fractured my thumb last night. I don't even have a good story for it... ::facepalm:: I will share anyways so you can all have a good laugh.
I wanted to move the treadmill into the house from the garage so that I could walk last night. We recently replaced our roof and had leftover shingles that were in front of it. Well I was trying to move them out of the way by pushing them forward while squatting down, my foot slipped and I fell forward onto my thumb. Thankfully it's only a small fracture but it hurts like hell! And this brace is such a nuisance. It could have been worse though. Thankfully my parents came over to help with DD and my dad drove me to urgent care; I kept feeling like I was going to pass out.

I am so sorry about the fracture!! (It is kind of a funny story though) Hopefully it heals soon, but I've broken a finger and I know how annoying that can be.

I know I'm going to like it here because of all the food posts. I also love food except in the first trimester. That's actually why I took the pregnancy test. I wasn't hungry and that's really unusual.
Happy Hump Day ladies!!! I'm so glad that next weeks is a short week, for some Americans. Yay Thanksgiving.
Me too! I am getting so excited for Thanksgiving! We are doing Friendsgiving with a huge group of friends Saturday, we rented a room in a local village center. I'm so excited for 2 Thanksgivings this year.
Thanks requiressnacks & lostinfaith225! It's embarrassing telling people IRL.... oh my goodness. It doesn't hurt too bad today so I have my brace off, I kind of wonder if it is actually broken or if it was just a bad sprain.
FFWC: I ate a ham sandwich today. It was high quality meat so I'm hoping there's no listeria.
You're more likely to get listeria from fruit & produce, as most recent cases show. You can eat lunch meat while pregnant.
ETA: I should add you should obviously get it from a reputable source & don't go buying sandwiches out of the back of some random's car or something, but lunch meat isn't in the same category as vodka or anything.

MH wants to go to a college football game this weekend. The high is supposed to be 48 that day. That is way too cold for me. It sounds miserable.
MH is going to the Yale/Harvard game on Saturday. I'll be at home, in the heat. If I can't drink, I don't have a ton of interest in cold-weather tailgating. If it was going to be nice outside, that might be a different story.
