Oooh I've never gotten to start a regular thread before! I feel so hip.
Yesterday I felt better so LO and I went to a children's consignment shop nearby. They had a baby k'tan in my size for $12.50!! Snagged it, of course...now I just have to figure out how to nurse in it. It's a bit snug on my slightly tall girl but she seemed to like it!
Ooh I love my k'tan! It allows me to do things I never thought possible...I hope you enjoy yours! I'm so excited for today. My dear friend is coming over for a visit! We usually go out to dinner to hang out, but she's coming mid-morning. Maybe I can convince her we need to go to panera. I haven't had one of those souffles in a long time. Yum. Dang waking up starving for motn feedings!
Speaking of waking up starving... I just had a giant plate of pasta at 3:45 am. My stomach was practically beating up my insides, trying to get some food..

I really want the K'tan but money is tight as we are still playing catch up. DH did not want to go out last night. So I brought steaks home for us. Woke up to a huge snow storm and the plow still has not been by. I have a long drive way that is shared with businesses so shoveling the entire thing is not possible. I wish I could stay home and curl up with my guys.
Happy Friday ladies! LO had a great sleep schedule last night. He was sleeping by 9. Got up to eat at 2. Slept til almost 6. My alarm goes off at 6 for work anyways. Now to try and keep him satisfied while I get myself ready for work!
I am pumping, too uncoordinated to use the freemies and feed at the same time at night. Liam slept 9-1:30, 2-4:30, 4:30-6:30. Probably the best sleep I've gotten so far. He's up now though. Hopefully his first nap is early and I can maybe catch up fully with a nap.
I love my k'tan! It's so easy to use. Great steal!
Poor DH went into work at 3am. I'm excited for him to be home this afternoon, even if this means he will be sleeping most of the day. Bonus: if he comes home after 11 he is bringing Chipotle. I'm so hungry for it now!!

I feel like such a jerk mommy. I went to pack my cooler for work and found all of the milk from the day before. Luckily the cooler was sealed all night and it was still cold but I told DH to check them first and we have emergency formula in case he needs it but damn I feel bad.
I'm at work after DS woke up every 2 hours last night. So I rewarding myself with a piece of chocolate cake at my desk. Yes, it is 9:15am but who keeps track of the time anymore?

Pretty sure it's probably still ok. It's good for 8 hours at room temperature so if it was cold it's probably ok. But I know that's still a grey area when you actually go to use it.
I really want a keurig coffee maker. All I want is my coffee in the morning and I have no time to prepare all that. A timer is useless given LOs lack of consistency. I also can't validate this til I start back part time next week as dh hates coffee so it'd be just for me (weirdo...) and I have a nice Cuisinart grid and brew. I wish I would've registered for one lol
tacocat Keurigs are the bomb diggity! DH doesn't drink coffee either, but he got me one for Christmas last year and I am sooo glad I have it now. I didn't use it much while I was knocked up cause I tried to limit my caffeine intake, but now it takes me about 1 min to make a cup to go in the mornings. I hope you can get one soon!!!
tacocat I stopped drinking coffee b/c I could never finish it once LO arrived. I have a Keurig in storage, but since LO's arrival, there is a lack of counter space. Yes, it is all her fault I'm not drinking coffee.
We survived another fussy evening from 9pm to 1am. She was up from noonish to 5pm with a 30 minutes nap. Then slept from 5-7pm. Had a bottle and was crankypants through the rest of the evening. Usually she's pretty chill after a bottle.
Hoping that this is just a passing thing this week.

Forget wine-o'clock, it's been ice-cream-o'clock here all morning. M slept okay last night, but I'm worn out (aren't we all). H is considering taking on an additional responsibility/part time job and while I'm excited for him and us, it's also making me worried. I hope he realizes that his extra commitment would need to cut into his computer game time, not into the time he spends helping me in the evenings. Wednesday (two days ago) I had (yet another) calm but strong conversation with him about how I need him to come home from work and look for things to do to help me instead of plunking down at his computer... and it shouldn't be too hard since he's usually tripping over laundry and looking for room on the cluttered kitchen counter to set down his lunch bag. The convo got tense, but we didn't get upset with each other.
So, yesterday he comes home and has 2 hours before he needs to leave for church... he spent about an hour and 45 minutes of that time playing games. He cooked part of dinner and made my plate, but only because I was stuck on the couch feeding M. After he got home (at 10 pm) I mentioned to him that I was disappointed in how he spent his time and it was like he just didn't realize that he had done nothing but play while he was home.
Today he texted me and told me to try and take it easy and he'll help with the housework once he gets home. I'm not holding my breath... but not making an effort to clean, either.
My other option is to just quit doing his laundry and quit doing the dishes. Make him wake up one day and realize he has no clean pants for work. I really hate to pull the manipulation card, but I can't keep doing 95% of the housework/baby care/etc all the time.

Thats a great find I love my k'tan and so does Max!
wildflower810 if he told you to take it easy today, then don't lift a finger that you don't have to. Just take care of LO and enjoy your time with him.
DH told me last night that I have to turn the super bowl on for Gio to watch on Sunday. I told him that I will likely be cooking, doing dishes, cleaning something, but I would turn it on for him. DH insists that I watch the superbowl with LO. DH will be at work, so I agreed. I don't get much R & R time AT ALL, so if he is insisting, then I am not argueing.
Please someone tell me I'm crazy and my baby does not have a tooth coming in (see pic) he has been super fussy and started drooling like crazy about two days ago and yesterday spent the whole day alternately fussing and chewing his hand. I checked his mouth again this morning and there is a hard little white bump coming through his gum in the lower front. Its too soon for teething right??
I have no idea what is happening with my account! It's like a separate profile on desktop than my app. One is Libby, one is libbyandnate with two different pics but the same email and login! Oh well, I will just start using the app. Guess I'm saying, hello I'm not creeper and I apologize for being computer illiterate!
On a related note, I love my k'tan! It's wonderful having two hands back!
wildflower810 It sounds like your situation will turn into something similar to that joke that travels around the internet. The dad comes home and finds the kids are running a muck and the place is level 5 disaster zone and finds his wife in bed in her pj's. He then asked her what happened and she said something along the lines of I decided to actually do nothing today which is what you always say/think I do. They just don't understand all that you do till you stop doing it.
I love my niece and nephew but i'm starting to get real tired of my sister shenanigans. This is the third weekend in a row that she has the kids and has asked me to watch them. This time I used it to my advantage and said ok so long and she watched Joseph so I could have me time. Each time it's for something practical but it always takes longer than I think it should and 2 out of the three could have been done when she doesn't have the kids. I know I could just say no but I'm a softy and always feel like i should have a good reason to say no since we share a place.
spikesmom DS had a white bump at his last pedi appointment and she said it was a normal condition that babies get and it would go away. Could be the same.
So...I just got walked in on while pumping at work by a male coworker. Awkward.

spikesmom, I am not convinced that that is a tooth, but it is possible. Some babies are born with teeth!
I'm definitely not convinced either I feel like he is way too young but I also have no idea as a ftm and my husband and dad are both convinced its a tooth so I thought I would ask all of you knowledgeable ladies ?

tacocat just tell your DH that keurigs make more than coffee. I use it for cider, tea, lemonade, etc. its awesome.
wildflower810 I'm sorry for your frustration with your DH. I know how you feel, I do most of everything around the house and I always have to ask DH to do things and he will put them off. I tell him all the time I wish he would see the need and just do it so I'm not nagging him or doing it all myself. hope he figures it out soon, and you get to rest today. we're moms not machines!
spikesmom from what I understand, they can start teething at 3mo. we just saw yesterday that Henry is starting to cut a tooth, he's 12w.
jjh1119 yes it was, but so good! I knew what was going to happen the moment she started looking at the pictures (you know what I'm talking about, I don't want to spoil it for anyone haha!), DH was in denial--he loves this show just as much as I do. I loved how it ended though, so sad to see it go.

I've been at work for only an hour so far, and I'm so DONE. Everyone is an idiot, no one is sending out emails about taking rooms out this weekend, so nothing is being communicated properly. I'm alone in my box fielding phone calls bc the supervisor is a child who is just walking around with her freshman college girl giggle and wrinkly skirt (you can tell I love her). AND our Chipotle order (at least work is paying haha) won't be ready for an hour and a half and we're all starving.
I'm going to start flipping tables RHONJ style soon...
