athn64 that is annoying. Do they have kids. I assume not. Maybe just you or your husband could go so at least one of you can see them?

We talked about doing that. DH said I could go, but they are meeting at 7:30. And DH is closing today, which means he won't get home til 8:30 minimum. And he's typically later on Fridays, more like 9. So by the time I got there, it'd be kind of pointless.
NT scan went GREAT! Baby looked great, heartbeat was 173. My DH cried. It was so cool-the doctor could even count the fingers and the toes. They had us do genetic counseling and decide what we wanted to do. We decided to do the Harmony and the NT. It was the craziest thing, but they soon tech AND the maternal fetal medicine doctor told us they were pretty confident on the gender based on the sono alone. We had a sono tech tell us that our son was probably a girl at 15 weeks, so we don't put much weight in that. However, they were both (separately) pretty confident. The MFM specialist said he hadn't been wrong in a long time and had been doing this for 30 years, haha! Anyways, their guess is girl, but I don't want to get my hopes up until we get the harmony results back in 7-10 days.....not sure what to think! Just so thankful everything looked good-the NT measurements were great also!
It's way too early for heartburn to set in, right? Right?? I can't shake it today and can't think of anything I've eaten that would have caused it. Where are my tums??

No! I don't believe so! Heart burn is an early pregnancy symptom too I thought!

I've had heartburn ever since I found out I was pregnant.. I wish it was too early for that symptom, I hate it! It makes drinking water a total pain for me.

I have had heartburn almost every day since week 5 so... Not too early.

Heartburn is what caused me to take a pregnancy test! I was treating endo and pcos with birth control, and I had serious heartburn, peed on a stick and boom!
With my first, I didn't get heartburn until the end though. Hopefully it doesn't last the entire time.
I'm so happy it's Friday! We took all of next week off and are headed to Disneyland on Sunday. DS is so excited. We took him last year this same week for his first time and loved it. We have dinner reservations 2 of the nights and have to figure out what we want to do the other meals. I'm so ready for a break and just feel like I can breath now!!! Work has been so busy all year! I'll tell work about the PG when I go back next Monday (after Thanksgiving) as I'll be 12 weeks and we're doing some planning now for next year.
soultrane the heartburn is caused by hormones that have caused some of your digestive muscles to relax. Just like constipation is caused by hormones hat cause the bowels to relax. Basically our systems are being "lazy" and nothing's working how it should. If these muscles aren't contracting and pushing things along in our digestive track, the food we're eating is sitting around and indigestion sets in.
The upside is that your body now has time to process every possible nutrient out of your food since its digesting so slowly. That provides extra nutrients go to the baby.
Ive researched this ad nauseam. I'm now on a daily Rx for indigestion and constipation (TMI I know) after talking to my OB about my issues.
