frecklesnbrains sending good interview vibes! I hope it goes well for him, all that travel must be tough.
virginiaorjohn what a month for you guys! My DH got his WTs out as an adult and it wasn't too bad. A couple woozy days and then he was fine. Hopefully it is similar for your DH.
I'm too tired to think of a real UO, so I'll just state the truth:
Asparagus is disgusting. Don't fight it, you know I'm right.
My whole family loves it except for me, so I've adapted to eating it. I only like the heads and I bite them off and leave the rest. You don't want waste, stop cooking it all the time!
Ah, birdhut, I'm jealous. I wish my mom lived closer (well, she's only 40 miles away - but far enough to be a hassle as a full-time working parent and she is still working). My DD and my mom are BFF's and I trust her completely with DD - what I would DO for one day every two weeks for everyone else to just go away for a little bit to clean and organize.
With that said - i took off Thursday & friday next week for DH's MBA graduation - which I'm excited for. Originally, I was going to send DD to daycare and clean all day - but then I decided to take DD's to my Mom's so we could have a Christmas cookie day. It'll be fun - but I selfishly admit, I'm gonna miss that full day of downtime.
I am definitely blessed to have a MIL willing to come every Thursday so I can get some things done or just relax. Enjoy your day off. That sounds fun! I get what you mean though about missing your day off but that will be a good memory
csat , can you put a protective cover on it? That way it won't break off on your fingers. It might buy you more time before you have to replace it.
After a VERY long day at work I'm just catching up and read this after all the appendix talk and totally thought you were talking about putting a cover on an appendix so it won't break off on your fingers. Once I realized that wasn't the case, I can't stop laughing!
virginiaorjohn, damn girl, you guys have had quite a time this month. Is he able to at least schedule one of the surgeries around the holidays to get a little extra time off to recover and maybe relax a little? GL to you guys!
txmommy14, yay for a nice, boring appt! Happy to hear that everything sounds good. Your little guy's picture breaks my heart and cracks me up. Poor little guy!
Great news Kevinmac, and congrats on your little boy!!

soultrane uhhhh yes actually. The only available date left for surgery this year is Dec 22nd, so he'll have surgery three days before Christmas We likely won't even go to his brothers or my aunt's house to see our family like we usually do on holidays... I'm kind of sad, but I think just resigned to the fact that this year's holidays will totally blow.

Oh man, I was thinking more along the lines of between Christmas and New Years. Sorry you guys will have to change your holiday plans.
Kevinmac, the car problems suck and I'm with you on just getting a new car at the point that it takes $5k to fix the old one. On the bright side, Congrats on the healthy cell-free dna test and being on Team Blue! That's awesome news for you.
virginiaorjohn, I'm so sorry that your H has been having such a rough year medically. It sucks because you now have to balance caring for yourself and the baby in your belly as well as him. I hope his dental procedure goes well and that's he's feeling well enough on Christmas to celebrate a little. His cheeks will still be swollen, but he might be feeling a little better three days later. I couldn't imagine having an appendectomy and my wisdom teeth removed back to back.
As for the asparagus debate, I love the way it tastes, but I absolutely hate that it makes your pee smell like asparagus. I have always had a really sensitive sense of smell and I think it is so weird that eating asparagus results in asparagus scented urine. Yuck. So sometimes I won't eat it for that reason. (If you haven't noticed the smell, then count yourself as part of the lucky 20-30% of the population that scientists claim do not produce the asparagus scented pee).
