Some random lady that is part of the office management team for my work office building almost ruined it for me yesterday. She came in with two other people and I walked up front since the receptionist was out smoking. They were telling us about some holiday event going on and the lady points at my sea bands and says "oh, are you SICK or PREGNANT?!"
I stumbled over my words for a second but a friend of mine told me her excuse she used which was that they help with nausea from migraines, so I said that. The lady then said "Oh, I thought they were only for pregnancy, that's what I used mine for!"
Like wtf lady. I'm clearly not showing so maybe have a little tact? My office is small so 100 % guaranteed everyone heard it.

I am waiting for Blunt/Nosy Office Co-Worker to make a similar comment since my pants are noticeably tighter and I have been wearing scarves to cover my chest/belly. DNW awkward conversation, please and thank you.

willow, Ugh, I would have been ready to TP that lady.
Things like this make me happy that no one even looks at me at work. No one cares and in this case it is nice to not have anyone notice my bloat or how I look like I am ready to hurl all the time.

I have my first appointment tomorrow. I'm feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness. For some reason, I'm having much more anxiety with this pregnancy than with my son. I'm still not 100% convinced I'm actually pregnant and took another pregnancy test this morning. It turned positive in about 3 seconds, but I'm still all aboard the crazy train!

I graduated in June with my ASN and and currently sitting in the office waiting to talk to financial aid to start the RN to BSN at my previous school. I'm really close to one of my old teachers and had seen her a few weeks ago and told her my news of twins. I just saw a different teacher walk by and she congratulates me and goes "Twins! If anyone can handle it its you!" Not sure if I should be upset or not.

Well it happened. Went to the er last night for fluids. I was so dehydrated and lightheaded. So far doing better. But haven't actually left my bed yet....

PSA for anyone interested - Target is having a 30% off all maternity today, with free shipping.
Thanks!!! This is great. I neeeeeed pants. I thought my pants were actually loose but I realized my blump is just causing the waistband to slide down to my crotchal area.
housecarder your ex is nuts, I would have blocked his ass too. Why the hell do people just decide to pop back into your life and just ignore the life you have now?! People are so dumb!
willow that sucks that people have a big mouth, I'm glad you were able to cover it. People are so nosy all of the time and don't think before inserting their foot into their mouth.
lostinfaith225, I hope that you start feeling better soon!
Sorry for all of the ladies feeling anxious, I always get anxious before appointments too. FX all is going well with everyone!
And so creepy, housecarder . I'm glad you shut him down.
I had a job interview on Monday and was told I'd hear by the end of today at the latest. I'm going to wear out my phone checking my email all day! I just want to know either way because if I get the job, I have two days to pack up and move my classroom and prep for January.

Unless you explicitly swore her to secrecy, I wouldn't be upset. And she paired it with a really nice complement, so I'd forgive her

Did you hear?
No, I'm so frustrated because they told me I would hear either way. And my principal told me this morning they called for a reference. I'm just assuming it's a no. Oh well.

Eta Thanks for asking!
Calling for references is a really good sign, don't lose hope yet.

I agree with tootsie, calling for references is def a good sign. In my experience people do not get back to you when they say they will, which is a huge pain but I wouldn't lose hope just yet.
Should receive a bellyband soon otherwise holding off on buying any maternity clothes until 2nd trimester.
I have been using the ones I had leftover from DS. I am really hoping I get a WFH position soon so I don't have to worry about buying maternity clothes... I do not like shopping for clothes.

You are so right, I got the email this evening that I got the job!!!! Yay! Thank you for the encouragement It's crazy to switch schools this time of year and I need to pack up my whole classroom tomorrow, but I'm so excited! This move means half the commute time and saving money on gas. It will make life so much easier having an extra 40 minutes a day! (Although I will probably use them to sleep longer, ha ha!)
