Good morning ladies, I hope you are all sleeping. Max decided to party every hour tonight but he keeps smiling and cooing at me so I don't mind! Plus it's the weekend so H can take him so I can nap later.

Isaac is usually sleeping after his morning feeding but this morning he was laughing alot. I would look over in his bassinet and there he would be with a huge smile. How can I sleep with all that cuteness going on?
Hi gals! Hope all has been well im on my 2nd week back to work, so I've just been busy and tired! Today and tomorrow dh has the baby...it should be interesting as he's never had to be the only parent for this many hours in a row. Not to mention, tonight I'm going to have him get up every time the baby wakes -- my turn to pull the "I work tomorrow" card!
I can't really complain, John is good about hitting 2am and 5am, DH's alarm goes off at 5:30, so he gets up with him at 5 usually.
Morning ladies! I went back to work yesterday (which means significantly less PB time, boooo) and it went really well. Pumping wasn't bad at all and my coworkers are very understanding, so i'm thankful for that.
Last night DS fell asleep at 8:30 (which is super early for him) and slept straight through until almost 6:00! My boobs weren't happy but I sure was!

I have less PB time, too, since I've gone back to work, jessa1228. That's why it looks like I flood the boards at night during LO's last nursing session before bed.
Does anyone with little girls notice how absolutely adorable it is to watch them with their grandpas? My FIL is a burly man's man (sports, beer, etc) and he's absolute putty once he holds DD. She already has him wrapped around her finger, and it's only going to get worse.
We were at their house last night and every time he held her, she'd smile and giggle at him- more so even than when DH and I hold her. Maybe grandpa is just goofier looking? Haha.

This! My dad melts when Em is around. My dad is also my boss and when I've brought her up to work he stops everything and just sits and talks to her and she gives him huge smiles!! Soo unlike him - he's pretty stiff in general. We joke that if you need anything from him, ask when he's holding Em!

Teach me your ways oh Yoda. DD loves to wake up every 20 minutes to 1 hour unless she is being held. @flutterhutter yes! I love how sweet DH is with DD, and my dad and FIL just squee over her too. I love it! I'm sure they'd do the same if we'd had a little boy, but I think it's so cute to see DH cuddling with our little pink bundle since he's one of those NEVER wear pink type of guys.

I honestly have no idea. I think it may have to do with starting daycare and his little brain trying to process all the new stimuli. Before DC, he would fall asleep between 10-11. Since starting DC, he's been falling asleep between 9-9:30. I just hope this becomes a consistent thing!
jessa1228 I accidentally let our LO sleep that long a couple weeks ago and my breasts were definitely upset with me. I was trying to slowly extend the night sleeping but that night she went an extra two hours. I'm lucky to have such a good sleepy baby. She's down between 8 and 9 and for the last three nights has slept till nearly 5am. I don't mind herkeeping it up, because she'll go back down for another two or three hours and I can go to a 6am Pilates class while baby and daddy sleep.
HutterFlutterjessa1228 I kind of optimistically think I'll have more PB time when I get back to work. I've got to kill time pumping somewhere, right? No one at work needs to know my hands free bra means I could still work at the same time.

Totally jealous of all this long sleep stretches. Not having a good couple of days, I don't want to be a Debbie downer with too many complain-y posts. Happy Saturday!

Evan woke up twice last night while Levi slept. Usually it's the opposite. My 2 year old was the one that gave me themost trouble though . She joined us in bed around 4:30. Becayse daddy is still very sensitive from his surgeries and she is a major kicker in her sleep so I had her on the outside. She attempted to roll off twice. The first time I caught her. The second I couldn't get a grip, but was able to slow her down.

Yes! I made it through delivery day without crying - until grandpa showed up. This manly man's eyes were glistening and I just lost it! Gah! I'm tearing up now even recalling it. So sweet.
I started birth control pills again a couple of weeks ago. It's been 3 years since I've really used any type of protection and now I don't trust it LOL. I'm having a hard time remembering to take the damn things and I'm sooo hungry......ahhhhh!
LO has nursed every hour this morning. Every.hour. I wish she understood I need to eat too!!
Hahaha, my theory is that DD DOES know when I want to do unreasonable things like eat, sleep, or shower...she just doesn't want me to do any of that. I'm pretty sure she's campaigning to be an only child.
I had to confess to my husband that I was irrationally mad at him this morning, and for a long time after. See, I had a dream where he let some miscreant sleep in our house while our daughter was here! My husband is a good man though, and apologized for his dream actions!
DS just pooped for the first time today. H changed him and said that his poop reeked of balsamic vinegar. We had chicken in a balsamic vinegar and onion sauce last night for dinner. This is the first time I've noticed what I've eaten affecting DS's poops.

bhahahaha this is priceless. You need to write this down in a baby book or something! on the bright side....there's always worse smelling poop!
