In honor of Valentines Day, we want to share the love with women and children in need with a personal hygiene drive.
Have a family shelter, domestic violence shelter, prison release program, or other charity close to your heart that would benefit from donations or feminine hygiene products, soaps, shampoos, and razors? Nominate them in this thread. We will vote the week of 1/11.

MANY domestic violence shelters will not take pre teen or teenage male children--for various reasons. So moms may not leave a violent home if they have to leave their sons behind.
New life center accepts moms with kids of all ages including teenaged males which makes them unusual.
What they need varies. Last Christmas we did a Boy Scout toy drive for them, they needed toys for teenaged boys and girls so that's what we collected. But the year before they needed baby stuff, so we collected baby toys and diapers and such. Of course they always need money.
it might not be what you want for a drive for valentines of personal hygiene stuff, but wanted to put the idea out there. It's a place my 15 year old son found and it hit him in the heart to think that a mom may have to leave their teenaged son behind in order to be safe, so he coordinated the toy drive two years ago for them for the scouts.
My Sister's Place, Hartford, CT, provides shelter and assistance to women and children who are left homeless due to domestic violence, mental illness, unemployment, etc.

Mercy Hospice in Philadelphia serves homeless women via a residential unit and a day drop-in center which provides support services including meals, showers and clothing.
I don't have an organization to nominate (but will absolutely take part in the voting/donating) but I just want to tell you Naria that you are one of the strongest most selfless women I have ever come across. You truly have a heart of gold
