Upcoming appts? 1/15 for ultrasound and hopefully see my OB and not one of her nurses.
Rants/Raves? I was talking about being pregnant and a coworker says "You're pregnant?!" I said "yeah" and pointed to my stomach. Her response was "I just thought that was fat". So I guess my cute bump is still looking pretty blump to others.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? Def kicks and movements. I am looking forward to not feeling like shit all the time and having my body back without restrictions. And holding the girls of course.

Who the eff says that!?!?!?
Sorry about your douche canoe coworker.
I don't think she meant it to be mean, she is just a very blunt and honest person, but man!
Symptoms?Feeling pretty great lately, a few BH contractions when I am tired and havent had enough water.
Upcoming appts?Today!!
Rants/Raves?Bump totally popped this weekend. Still on the cusp of fat vs pregnant, but to me and H it is very much a bump.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? I lurve feeling movement, that was such an amazing thing that I never got sick of. I think I may have felt LO move a bit but nothing consistent. I think PP I am looking forward to getting my body back. I gave up any hope of getting in shape after DS but my self image has been lousy lately and I look forward to taking better care of myself. ETA-beer. I really have missed beer this time around more than last time. I blame this on toddlerhood.
Ray , I've totally downed some serious hotdogs. However, my OB routinely tells me to just eat all the things because we live in 'Merica. Except for things high in mercury, that's apparently his only line.
+1. I think the hot dog thing has to do with nitrates but I have been eating them once a week without a second thought. Now that it's been mentioned, I think chili cheese dogs are on the menu for tomorrow.
I do remember that now! It's one of those, hey you probably shouldn't be eating a lot of those not pregnant so don't go hogwild, kind of foods. Aaaaaand now I want Italian hotdogs. Or to drive to the windmill and get chili cheese foot longs. Too bad it's 10 degrees out.
Symptoms? Definitely starting to see the start of a baby bump! (if that's a symptom? haha) Otherwise, making the turn to the second trimester has me relatively symptom free! My appetite is getting back to normal, which is awesome!
Upcoming appts? Just had my NT scan yesterday! Baby bean was measuring right on target for how far along I am. Will get the official results back later but I saw a super active and much larger baby-looking bean!!
Rants/Raves? I'm not sure if its my sciatic, but there appears to be some type of pinched nerve in my lower back that is less than thrilled with the occupant of my uterus. It has been quite painful the last week or so. Have any of you STM's experienced that before? What worked for you to get some relief?
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? Hmm... I think my favorite thing is going to be having an excuse to not do the heavy lifting when DH and I move in a few weeks But seriously, just trying to take everything in and enjoy the experience! PP, I am definitely looking forward to a LARGE glass of wine and a ginormous plate of sushi.
Symptoms? Nausea was pretty bad over the weekend with a cold...but seems better today. Super fatigued still.
Upcoming appts? Thursday with the OB.
Rants/Raves? I have nothing to wear. Somehow I look 25 weeks pregnant but my maternity clothes are still too loose and my work pants feel like they are going to fall off. I wore regular work pants yesterday unbuttoned and those also felt like they were going to fall off (the belly band does nothing for me).
QOTW: I like weeks 18-30 or so. You can feel the baby but it isn't crazy uncomfortable yet. I only threw up occasionally during those weeks. I looked pregnant but I could still get in and out of a car easily. PP, I'm looking forward to some wine, sushi not in moderation, and peeing out all of the extra fluid.

Yes!! those3words. That first long pee is so wonderful. That and rolling onto your belly for the first time (probably only if you delivered vaginally) are the most wonderful feelings.

YAS! Tummy sleeping after not being able to for months is great. I don't even like sleeping that way, but I loved having the option
housecarder lol at your coworker. That's the sort of thing you may think, but she needs to come up with something smoother like, "oh, I never assume..."

Yes! I think it is on the no list per my dr. I did eat one last time. I usually eat them often because ds loves them. I am jealous..
Rants/Raves? Sick of feeling like crap all the time!
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? Favorite: feeling baby move. Most looking forward to post partum is having my body back even though that takes awhile!
Rants/Raves? The Steelers are in the playoffs and Bachelor starts tonight! Makes this Monday A-Ok for me!
What did you think of the Bachelor last night?!
I liked it! I think Ben is super hot so I know I'll enjoy his season. It takes me a couple of episodes to really get into it because there are just so many girls I can't keep track of who is who. And then in the second episode they will all wear normal clothes so I'll have to figure out who they are again. But so far so good. A lot of wacky girls - maybe a handful who seem normal. I just hate how the producers make the main person keep on the crazy people. Go away twins, Lace, scary dentist girl - I didn't even find them amusing, just annoying. But I know what I'll be doing every Monday night - I can't get enough of this show!
Symptoms? Nausea has calmed down a little bit, except for yesterday when baby decided that it's birthday present to me would be to make me throw up. Thank you baby! Also, I get uncomfortable gas mainly at night after dinner. And I have a very short fuse.
Upcoming appts? This Thurs is our 12 week ultrasound/genetics testing. I can't wait to see the baby again, and see it look like an actual little human and not a blob!
Rants/Raves? I am looking forward to getting into the second trimester! Can't believe it's right around the corner, time is flying by.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? I'm a FTM and so far I haven't enjoyed much about pregnancy. I do enjoy the ultrasounds and getting to hear the heartbeat, looking forward to feeling those first flutters! As for post partum, I'm excited for the baby to be here and to be able to snuggle and love on it all day

Yes the sciatic pain has been horrible this go around.

Skipped the other posts, I promise to go back and read them!
How many weeks are you? 10w4d
Symptoms? Chills, nausea, certain foods taste bland
Upcoming appts? Tomorrow! Finally I will get the paperwork and can book my first ultrasound! Really hoping my doctor will be able to find a heartbeat, but I have to drag my toddler to this appt so I have low expectations.
Rants/Raves? Started my new job this week and I am using my saved commute time to sleep in! I used to get up at 5:45 and today I got up at 6:30.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? Right now I am not super excited about being pregnant, but I am looking forward to the end result. I will enjoy it more when I have a belly and it's no longer a secret. Post partum, I want all the coffee and wine!
Symptoms? Thankfully, the fatigue seems to have passed leaving me symptom free for now. I'm just waiting for the sciatica to kick in.
Upcoming appts? I have blood draw on 1/7 and my next appt is 1/21.
Rants/Raves? I HATE being sick and pregnant. Of course, I would take DD to the pediatrician and then I would get sick. I would murder someone to safely take some hardcore cold and flu medicine.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? Unfortunately, I don't really enjoy anything about being pregnant. Pregnancy is not one of those fun things for me even though I don't suffer the worst symptoms. I look forward to booze post partum, and having a little squeaky newborn. But... also, booze.
TheTuna15 I hear you on the booze! We told family at Christmas and my sister's fiancé said "it's going to be a dry New Years for you!" Shut it, dorkus!
Symptoms? the pukes, sore boobs and body. exhausted. everything that makes me feel miserable
Upcoming appts? Appointment with my NP and then I have my first tri screen on Friday
Rants/Raves? I have lost a lot of weight but my stomach is huge. I started showing around 11 weeks. I didn't show until after 16 the first time around. It is getting hard to hide the bump.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? My favorite thing is that I felt most comfortable in my own skin when I was pregnant the first time around (and visibly showing). You really can't control how your body changes and it was nice to not have to worry about what I was going to wear because I was huge either way.
I really don't know what I am most looking forward to PP. I am kind of terrified to go through all that again.
littlesthobo, That's so obnoxious. I hate it when people feel the need to add their funny little insights. On the list is also: you'll never sleep again, you'll never care about showering again, guess you won't be drinking for a while, and all other comments said with a fake smile about all the shitty aspects of motherhood.

What about you?
Pretty much the same boat! I liked flight attendant Lauren. She seemed genuinely sweet. That was the only one that stuck out to me. I totally agree with the crazy people. I understand they make for "good tv" but I just find them irritating. But definitely loving Ben so far!

So much this! You summed it up really well. It was one of the few times where I really felt happy to show off my body and not be self conscious. I have been having a really hard time with my body image lately and cant wait until my super bump shows up so I dont feel like I am hiding.
I haven't checked in for awhile, but all is good here at 13w2d. We had our first OB appointment on Monday (after graduating from the RE in early December). We got to see Lil muggy head banging away in my ute. S/he is measuring 4 days ahead.
Qotw: I'm just taking each day as it comes. So far, nothing has felt like I thought it would, so I'm trying not to have expectations.
Upcoming appts? I had one yesterday, next one is 2/2.
Rants/Raves? Well, I talked to my OB yesterday about all the sickness I've been having and the anxiety/depression. We talked a lot about the symptoms I'm having (jellypoo - don't ask, weird stomach bloating in the afternoon/evening, abdominal pain and gas, heartburn, etc.) and she said that it seems I have pregnancy-induced IBS that is in the middle of a crazy-long flare from the severe anxiety. She put me back on Prozac and we're hoping that when the anxiety chills out, that the IBS will chill out, too. And hopefully that will help the nausea.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing about being pregnant? What are you most looking forward to post partum? The only thing I like about being pregnant is that I don't have acne (knock on wood). I am looking forward to having my body back PP... being able to eat food and go out with friends and family and exercise without getting sick.

Ugh I hate all these too! I have a kid and guess what, I manage to shower, sleep 8 hours, and have a life... I find it's most often people who don't have kids that say these things. Or in-laws, ha ha!

And people whose kids are running wild! Most of the time, it's the parents who have no control over their kids who are handing out all the parenting woes. Do I occasionally run to Walgreens looking like a homeless yoga teacher? Yes. Does it happen often enough that anyone actually thinks I'm a homeless yoga teacher? No.
