Anyone else here watch Outlander? We are just finishing up season 1, but I have read all the books while DH has not. I'm absolutely in love and if I wasn't taking 9 hours this semester I would read all the books again to refresh myself!
So, I don't watch it lol. But my mom and sisters are freaks about it. They even went to Paley Fest when the cast went and got to watch the first episode of the last season about a month before it aired. And they've gone to multiple books signings. They are trying to get me into it.

I freaking love Outlander. I'm so excited about the new season, they actually just released a new trailer for it. I'm up to the fourth book, but it will be a while until I finish it.

What do you think about the actors? So far I think they have been perfectly on point (I know Diana has had a lot to do with that). Sam (Jamie) is super hot, too!

I think they're pretty spot on. Ian isn't exactly how I'd pictured him, but he does a great job. Also, I think they cast a more handsome Roger Wakefield than I had pictured in my mind. I'm really looking forward to seeing who they cast as Brianna.

Just saw this. I absolutely adored Outlander the novel and was really surprised by how well the TV series was done. The acting is superb and, considering how many different plot lines there are, I think the adaptation is surprisingly true to form.
That being said, I kind of got burnt out on the books after the third? or fourth? Right after they finished in the West Indies. As much as I think it's a great mix of historical fiction & romance, it started to feel kind of Forrest Gump-y to me. Like, how many significant historical places will these characters be in, especially considering how difficult travel was in the 18th century.
Also, kc730 hit it square on the head. Sam is gorgeous. And I'm not a girl that typically swoons over actors.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time getting into the fourth one.

Once they come to the Americas it really gets good. I seem to have blocked most of the West Indies. Every time it's mentioned now I have to really think about what happened.
