Also, in reference to babies peeing and pooping on everything. Using disposable changing pads on top of an actual changing pad (if you have one on a changing table or on a dresser or wherever) will save you from washing the changing pad cover approximately 100 times. Your newborn will pee as soon as fresh air hits them. It's much easier to throw out the disposable liner.
This is so true, that newborns will pee when the air hits them! I brought DS home from the hospital and my sister was here looking after our dog. She and I took DS up for his first diaper change at home, and he peed everywhere the second his diaper was off! Cue screaming and giggling from my sister and I. One of my favourite memories
I had an awful Charlie horse at about 1 am. Usually they go away quickly, this one lasted for a good 10 mins and didn't stop until I iced the area numb. I got up this morning and soaked in a hot bath and it is still hurting. I'm trying not to spiral into DVT craziness. And the cramping I'm having where I normally feel baby flutters is giving me anxiety. I'm a mess today.
Holy hell that sucks. I'm not looking forward to the Charlie horses again. One of my girlfriends swore by having some gatorade every night before bed. IDK if that would actually work, because I was getting up 2-3 times to pee as it was without adding Gatorade to the mix. However, she did insist that it stopped Charlie horses.
I've heard extra potassium helps so maybe bananas, except I already can't poop, DNW to add bananas to the mix.
I have a snow day today. Yay! (I shouldn't have a single thing to bitch about).
However, a co-worker keeps texting me and asking about our mid-year evaluation process. Bitch needs to back off my snow day glow and quit making me think of all the work I have to do tomorrow at work.

I'm home sick today, felt terrible all day yesterday and ended up with the stomach flu last night. I dropped DS at daycare this morning and came back to bed. Feeling better after a four-hour nap!

Ugh. I hope you feel better soon! I am so excited for you that you are feeling flutters already! Big hugs lady
With two troll dolls in there doing battle I can usually feel flutters and the occasional roll. Although one feels way more active than the other, could be placenta placement.

mrss44, OMG I totally hear ya on the dry mouth! I wake up multiple times a night with a totally dried out tongue! It's sooooooo gross. I'll have to try a humidifier...thanks madamewaffles, for the suggestion. I've always been a mouth breather at night and honestly have always been a huge drooler, but now just a dry desert for a mouth!

I have been on an iced tea kick for the last 2 weeks. Iced tea is awesome.
The grocery store had a sale on strawberries this week. In the past 2 days I have eaten 2 lbs of strawberries. I still have 4 lbs left and I plan to savor them. They are surprisingly good for not really being in season.

So sick still. My OB is having me come in so head nurse can give me IV fluids. I'm not really sure what else I can do as I take phenergan and zofran daily. I meet with my OB tomorrow for a normal appt so I'm coming to ask what else we can do.

Making a chocolate sponge cake for our book club tonight. One good thing about having cats is someone in a group always seems to be allergic, which means we never have to host the book club. I wouldn't mind but before we got pregnant we decided to do spring cleaning, then I got sick, and ended up pregnant. So the house is still a disaster.
I was in the checkout line at a warehouse store and knocked over multiple 4 foot high stacks of 200+ cracker boxes. It was like a cartoon. My 3 y/o thought it was hysterical and won't stop talking about how mom knocks stuff down too. Sigh.

See if your ob will do in home Iv fluids. They have been my life savior.
I take phenergan around the clock and add zofran in the morning. Acid reflux and stool softener 2x a day. It has been my magical combination. I haven't puked in over a week.
To add, a home health nurse comes every 3 days to do fluids for me.
I'm going to ask when I see her tomorrow if it's a possibility. I honestly think that's the only think left we haven't tried as I'm on zofran every 4 and phenergan every 6 hrs.

I just had my first weird food-related pregnancy thought. I went to go grab a pickle to eat as a snack, and started looking around the fridge for something to eat with it. All of a sudden the thought of a sandwich with just pickles and mayo popped up in my head. Yuuuum...

I think stupid bcbs is going to fight us on covering our NT scan......
Ugh. That's a pain. You can tell your dr that and have them give your records to the insurance company justifying why it's necessary. I had to do the same thing with bcbs with my first because they decided they didn't want to cover the genetic testing I got.

Every damn time I think I'm turning a corner on the morning sickness it flares up again. I ugly cried over something stupid on facebook while in the shower and proceeded to puke up dinner in the shower. Fun. Then at work I had to run to the bathroom at least 3 times during my 12 hour shift to puke. Plus the one time my constipation finally broke loose and there was an explosion I think. Pregnancy is so glamorous.

I had a ham, dill pickle, and mayo sandwich the other day and it was SO good. If probably enjoy it without the ham too. Although ask me in a few months and I'd be grossed out.
I was laying on my side and I sneezed and I swear I pulled something internally. It hurt so much I yelped.
