@bonzo2012 I love the immortals series! I was obsessed with them when I first read them when I was in middle school. I also created an embarrassing amount of fanart.

I am so excited for the book! I have read a little past where we are supposed to read because I had to know what was coming. I joined the book club on the book club board partly to keep me from reading too far ahead in The Night Circus.

1. I'm in Minnesota. 2. Just more social interaction plus I have a love of books. 3. That's a really hard question. Harry Potter series is right up there. But the first Outlander book has a special place in my heart. 4. My guilty pleasure is YA. DH makes fun of me for it and told me I couldn't read it anymore since I'm not a young adult. (24) I also love historical romances (some the smuttier the better) and science fiction. 5. I was super excited. So excited that I've finished the book already. I can't wait to discuss all of it at the end of the month.

A Widow for One Year (@loonylove, I saw you chose it to. I love John Irving!) and The Unbearable Lightness of Being 4. Favorite type of book? Long, character driven fiction. I also get stuck on subjects like climbing Mt. Everest or polygamy and then read tons of memoirs about the subject. 5. How excited are you for this months book? So excited. I don't think I would have chosen it myself, but I'm loving it so far.

I like reading and talking about books, but don't currently have an IRL outlet to do so 3. What is your all time favorite book? I don't actually have a favorite. There are books that have stuck with me, even if I hated them, but not one that I would call my favorite. Fight Club and Never Let Me Go are two that I really loved. 4. Favorite type of book? Fiction. What type depends on my mood. Sometimes I like to read mindless crime fiction (it's like brain candy to me), or horror, or literary fiction. 5. How excited are you for this months book? I finished reading it in Dec, but will at least skim it to remember things. I am excited to talk about it.
1. What state are you in? Arizona 2. What motivates you to do book club? I love to read and I've never been a part of a book club so I wanted to try it out. 3. What is your all time favorite book? hmmm, I have to get back to you on this one. 4. Favorite type of book? It used to be historical romance, but that got old, so I don't know anymore. 5. How excited are you for this months book? Pretty excited, but not excited enough to remember to get the book Slacker....

1. What state are you in? MN
2. What motivates you to do book club? Reading books I might otherwise not choose! And internet friends...yay!
3. What is your all time favorite book? - This is an impossible question. But I'll say top three: Eat, Pray, Love. They Cage the Animals at Night, and Water for Elephants. And Firefly Lane. And The Help. And any Lorna Landvick book. .... ok, so I don't do favorites. I also don't reread much.
4. Favorite type of book? "Chick Lit" or "Beach Read" are what I read most...
5. How excited are you for this months book? SO excited I already finished it? Oops. Not the type of book I would normally choose, but I loved every chapter. So good.
1. Missouri 2. I've never done one because I am generally picky about books. I hate wasting time! 3. The Outlander series, handsdown winner of all books ever. Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archives is a close second. 4. Anything, as long as it is Epic. 5. I read the summary. It's not something I'd ever pick up on my own, but we shall see. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone.
1. What state are you in? Illinois 2. What motivates you to do book club? I LOVE to read but have usually have no time due to small children. I figured this would force me to get in some quality reading time. 3. What is your all time favorite book? That's a tough question. Either The Stand by Stephen King (unabridged version) or About David by Susan Beth Pfeffer 4. Favorite type of book? I like science fiction, fantasy, thrillers and mysteries 5. How excited are you for this months book? Super excited! I have been wanting to read this book for a while!
This is my first book club... will someone start a new thread at a certain time for discussion? I am at work but ready to discuss!
I was wondering this too. I'm going to be tied up in a conference for a chunk of the day & I'm probably going to miss some
You can come and go as you like all week. Usually the thread stays alive because not everyone is at the same spot in the book yet...and some haven't started LOL.
