bluedot thanks for thinking of us it means a ton. He woke up once and then up crying at 6am. DH got up then. We are seeing the doctor at 11 today. I'm trying for a morning nap now but he's just so miserable.
I hope he's feeling better soon! Poor little guy! Idk if you're getting any snow up there, but drive safe it's icy here!
Also, I have a phone conference with our potential liquor sponsor today... she didn't give me a time so FX it's at a time when T is napping or quiet (no chance...)
Hugs and coffee to all the mommas with sleepless nights/sleepless babies.
It's snowing and freezing this morning so guess who's not going anywhere (again). Have I mentioned I'm sick of winter? I think I might try that peanut butter cookie recipe somebody posted yesterday just to pass the time.
K officially started daycare this morning. I'm still off work for one week so it's a transition, but we are already starting with a half day since his one hour trial with me went so well. I had forgotten to bring his formula so I had to go back. When he saw me he said "mama", then turned away and went to play with toys. Clearly he's very upset that I left him there. lol It's his naptime now, so FX he's actually sleeping.
To continue that conversation from last night about 90s crushes, I'm wondering if any one of you can help me. There was a movie I liked that was about a family living in Africa and the boy being really attached to the animals (possibly a lion?). I can't remember if they were moving back to America, or had just moved there. I thought it was with Leonardo DiCaprio, but I can't find it on his filmography. I'm pretty sure it was with one of the heartthrobs. Does it ring a bell???
Ssh slept in the couch last night because he wasn't feeling well. He woke up at midnight sighing every few seconds, so I told him to go do something about it...I need sleep! The snow goes almost up to my knees (I'm 5`4) so we will prob stay home today. Hugs to all the mamas with such and/or no sleep babies!
Haven't read yet but had to complain that LO is still miserable and we planned on calling the dr as soon as they open at 8:30. DH went out to clean up our driveway and we can't get out. We got a foot of snow and there is ice underneath it. Our driveway is on a hill and he can't get the car out. Looks like we're toughing through another day.
All LO has done since yesterday morning is cry. DH and I are going insane. BIL came home yesterday morning with a hangover and I'm pretty sure he was ready to cry as well.
We don't have salt but even so the temps are too cold for it to benefit. My DH tried oil dry for traction with no luck. Someone came by and said they'd offer to get their tractor down there to try but they thought they would get stuck too.
We're going to see what the doctor recommends and if needed we could have someone come pull our car out with a truck.

Ugh sorry tenniscourt we used to get stuck in my driveway as a kid too til we got studded snow tires, sch a PITA! I hope you can get out to go to the pedi.
ivedonethisb4 Totally understand how nice it is to get out on your own, blasting music in the car is so therapeutic.
Thanks to everyone who sympathized about the church situation. I've been talking to DH about it and if we can't get the nursery situation worked out I'll probably go every other week or something. It's just sad when we're so involved (I mean DH works there so he still is). I already miss all the night events since they're usually at 7 and I don't want to screw up LO's bedtime. But I know it's a short term thing.
There's a creative live workshop on right now about improvisational quilting. No idea what that is but thought some people might be interested!
broccolisgirl and hammysmommy I just saw your responses, re: propane. Broccoli, our tank is 500 gallons, but they will only fill it to 425 or something. We'll go through 2.5 tanks, so pretty similar to your ILs. That's funny, DH just said on Friday that he was going to climb up in the attic and check the status of the insulation.
ivedonethisb4, i love the siggy! so this is totally Awww but back in the day my friends and I were quite the boy band stalkers and we used to hang with O-Town whenever they were in town. Dan was my favorite though. One of my friends is actually still close to Trevor, she went to visit him a few weeks ago out in Cali. Soooo random. I hope your Dr. appointment goes OK and blast you can some O-Town in the car
tessymessy OHMYGODDDDD I love Luke Perry circa the Brenda years. I tried to get H to wear one of those Mexican surfer ponchos he always wore but no dice. I am going to be thinking about him all day now.
Happy Birthday baby tLex and bookshelves I'm so sorry the party got cancelled. I hope the lasagna is okay.
I am giving up today. I spent a good part of my train ride silently crying like a freak. I'm just at the end of my rope with sleep and playing WTF is wrong with my baby. Today the roads were so bad H had to drive me to the train station. He asked me to grab his phone on the way out which I did. About 4 seconds after he pulled away I realized I still have it. So I had to call the house repeatedly til he got home and then he had to put girls back in car and get phone. I stood outside where he left me and I am scared to take my socks off because I'm pretty sure one or more of my toes are black.
For anyone who wanted an Anywhere Chair, but didn't want to pay the price... I may have your solution! I just found a blog post about 1/2 price anywhere chairs at www.uglysofa.com they have a lot of the colors, but not all. And they do free embroidery! My sister had wanted to get one for T, but I told her that way too much to spend. I found this site and got so excited. I guess the only difference is they don't use the pottery barn foam, they buy "similar" foam inserts that are made to the same specifications. So the regular sized chair is $70. They even have chairs that are already embroidered so you might be able to find your LO's name and get an even bigger discount. I did find a Teddy chair... but I didn't like the green that it was in.
Add us to the sick baby club. LO was up coughing all night, I tried to give him cough medicine, but he spit it out. Is there any other flavors out there, or are they all gross? Hope our babies feel better soon bunnyarmfruittenniscourt
I went to a Superbowl party that was hosted by my very first new mom friend. It went OK. I felt really awkward around her other guests, they weren't very friendly. At least LO had a good time. Hopefully, we can get together again with just us and our LOs.

TY so much @bluedot! I really wanted to get LO an Anywhere Chair for his b-day, but DH said no because of the price.
Oh and H was a total douche on Saturday night. He knows he was so, at least there is that.
Sunday was supposed to be MY day to finish little house hold projects up before E's party next weekend. Well our toilet clogged and H spent all day snaking it unsuccessfully. SO I got NOTHING done and had two whiny cabin fevered kids all over me.
Then last night I convinced myself that there is probably a snake or rat in the pipes, like you read about in Florida or the Bronx, and I held all my pee in all night for the shower this morning.
UGHHH i had a long post typed up but my internet is sucking ass today. My H is trying to blame our internet troubles on the 3 snow flurries we have going on in Nashville. Ooook, H.
Hugs laur, that sounds like a shittastic morning. I hope your day improves.

After my dissatisfation with JTT as my crush, I took another 90's quiz, to see who my Valentine would be. And it's... Zack Morris. I'm not sure I'm pleased with that either.

I got JTT - and I really did love him forever and ever when I was... 11? Maybe? But Zack Morris? You can call me on that giant phone any day of the week.
Also, those questions were hilarious. Now I want to find my old Choose Your Own Adventure Books while listening to Weezer. But I don't know if that should be in my loft, lake house, or brownstone. I'll have to talk it over with Zack.

When they were like "what new fangled thing do you use to flirt"? Uh, WUT? Facebook became popular while I was forging my ball and chain.
ETA- I got Mark Paul Gossleaar (whose world I would still rock at any time). Finally something is going right today.
