What about double strollers ladies? I was looking at the Joovy Caboose (I didn't like how the car seat goes on there for when baby is little with just the strap, it seems to be a PITA) but it has great reviews. I was also looking at the Graco Ready2Grow since my car seat will snap right into it. Does anyone have either of these?
Hmm that strap does look like a pita. That's a shame because it otherwise seems like a good stroller.
My thoughts exactly! I am just thinking that dealing with a 2.5 yr old and having to dick around with that strap sounds like a hot mess!
Ok, harlowjune1984 's post is making me question myself, I think I have the B-ready not the B-agile. Now I remember it having all those crazy configuration possibilities.
If there's a City Mini GT on craigslist for $175, would that be worth it? It's looks like it's in awesome condition.
I think I'll buy a cheap double stroller too. DD doesn't ride that often, but we walk to the park and that may be too far for her at 3.5-4.
tootsie , I think that you have the B-Ready as well (after re-reading your post), because it doesn't have the one hand fold. You have to pull the little things on the sides of the handle (with each hand), and fold it down.
$175 is a great price for the City Mini GT if it is in awesome condition. They are normally around $350.
We are going with the Nuna Pipa. It is less than 8 pounds....so I guess not completely 3 pounds difference, although I have heard that the 2016 are even lighter (they put a lot of the mechanical things in the base, instead of the carseat, so it lightened it). It also has a shade that can come down from the regular shade, which I think will be helpful when we have a newborn in the summer. We don't get crazy heat, but we do get the sun...and it will be nice to block it. We also deal with a lot of rain, so it will be nice to cover it quickly, and not have to mess with a blanket over it (like we did with DD). The base also has a stability leg, and rigid latch (so the latch hooks are attached to the base, not to a strap...you just slid and it clicks right in). There is only one store around here (about 45min away) that has it in store, so I went down there and messed with it for awhile. While I was there, two sets of parents came in with their infants in the Pipa, so I picked their brains about it. The bases are insane ($$$) if wanting to purchase a second one, but we are going with a Chicco Nextfit in my husband's truck, since it is rated very good for newborns and the baby wont be in there often enough to justify buying a second base. Nuna Pipa
The Chaperone would only fit in the middle seat of our sedan. And the seat in the vehicle isn't wide enough, that we would still be able to put the Chaperone in the middle, with DD's carseat on the side. So we would have to do one carseat on either side. But since it wont fit behind the driver or passenger side because it is so long, it still wouldn't work. It also wouldn't fit behind a seat in my husbands 4-door truck. Even though I am getting rid of the sedan and getting a SUV, I am probably going with a small or mid-sized SUV....so I don't picture it working in one of those either. I have a friend that has a much larger vehicle and had a baby about 5 months ago, so I ended up giving her our Chaperone since it would fit in her vehicle, and it hadn't been in any accidents. Plus, she would get more use out of it, then I would before it would have expired anyway.
Interesting, I haven't heard of the Nuna Pipa but it sounds badass. I'll look into it. The main thing I want is a seat that will keep baby as cool as possible, as we live in the Texas desert. Summers are no joke.
I have the exact same issue with the Chaperone fitting in my car. I guess I could put it behind the passenger seat, but that renders the passenger seat as basically unusable. H and I are both tall and my Honda Fit is not only my commuter car, but the family car as well. I guess a new seat is cheaper than a new car, although I'd happily take that as well Stupid Chaperone, lol.

tootsie, from what I have heard, the Chicco Keyfit is also really good for cars with a small back seat. That is another one that was on our list to look at. They just came out with a new one, that has gaps in the pad that sits behind the baby, so air can flow through there and baby wont sweat as much! Chicco Keyfit Air Zip

Love it, thank you! You're like a baby gear guru, just what I need.

I think it's one of the shortest, lengthwise. Carseats for the Littles has a big comparison of a bunch of infant seats in small backseats which was really useful to me and I think the Keyfit won or was in the top. I'm going with the least expensive Graco infant seat because I switched DD to convertible early, before 6 months, and probably will again so I want the bulk of my budget will go there.
When we had ds, we got the britax b agile travel system. I love love love britax'! It is one of the safest for car seats. Came with stroller, car seat and base
. Ps--it is also not that heavy and folds up nice!
+ 1
We have the travel system and the marathon convertible car seat. Worth every penny.
My husband is a major runner, so we have a Bob. It's great for jogging, but I would never use it as an every day stroller. (I was under the delusion I would for awhile).
OK I have a stroller-related question... does anyone know if the Chicco Keyfit work in the Snap n Go stroller frame, or do you have to buy the stupidly expensive Chicco frame?

It does. The Grace SnugRider frame is the only one that I think is super picky (you can only use Graco car seats)
