I figured since a lot of us seem to be getting this storm, I'd start a new randoms thread for the entire weekend.
DS's birthday party was suppose to be today I called it yesterday and the next available date at the gym place was feb 20th. Ugh! Good thing he doesn't get it yet.
I think we just had our last nursing session. I'm really upset because it was shitty. He bit me, hit my face and said he was mad there was no more milk. I'm so done.
melody330, That sucks about your sons party, and the nursing. My supply tanked the second I got KU. So my last one was full of crying and screaming. Gotta love it when kids don't get what they want. Did you get a lot of snow yet (I think you said you're in NJ too right?).
The snow is falling sideways. Some areas have huge snow piles and others I can still see grass, but it's supposed to keep on keeping on all through tomorrow morning
Sorry about the canceled party and the nursing melody330.
DD already went out in the snow this morning. It's up to her hip. And the poor dog (a boxer) has snow up to his belly. He had no idea what to do when I took him out.
TheTuna15 yes we are right on the shore. Usually the temp from the water keeps the snow away somewhat but it's still coming down hard. There's probably about a foot out there. I'm hoping some kids come around asking to shovel. Otherwise, it's on me. Dh's back is still not 100%.

We have a boxer too. The other is a white pitbull. The boxer hates the snow with a first passion. Our pitty loves it. However, last year she blew her ACL in the snow so I'm scared to let me run around.

I was shocked when I saw how much snow the shore was going to get on the news. Last night they were still saying that Long Branch or Point Pleasant.... One of them was going to keep getting hit until Sunday morning. I'll keep my fx the kids come by to shovel. They roam our neighborhood like packs of wild dogs after a snow fall.
TheTuna15 oh no!!! That's basically my general area. I can't deal with that much snow!!!!
Oh no that sucks. I hope you're not close enough to the water to have to worry about coastal flooding. NJ news 12 is doing nothing but storm coverage, and I know some shore towns have already lost power so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys.

Thankfully we are about a half a mile west of the mandatory evacuations. We don't get any flooding on our street, and so far our power is good. During Sandy we only lost power for ten days and only had a few trees down. This storm seems to be rivaling Sandy so let's hope it doesn't get much worse.
I'm in coastal Delaware and we only got a few inches of snow but we're supposed to get major flooding. I'm a good mile away from the bay so we'll be fine but the houses in the back of my neighborhood on the bay will probably flood.

I live in southern TN and we got about 4-5 inches of snow. We have only been living here for 2 years but I think this is the most snow they have gotten in a long time. It is definitely the most snow I have seen since we lived in IL. DS and I had loads of fun playing in it yesterday while it was still coming down.
H had to stay in a company paid hotel last night because there was no way he could have come home. It sucked spending the night without him. I checked every single locked door like 3 times before I went to bed. I really hate being alone with DS at night and my sleep suffered.

My BFF is having her adopted son's 2nd bday today. I made a billion tiger stripes cupcakes for his Daniel tiger party and an adorable smash cake.
Then DD came home from her dad's with lice. So I had to drop the cakes off and just go home to treat her hair. She and DS are a bit devastated, but I promised them we could make them their own cakes and party on our own after nap.
Lol my son absolutely destroyed a kid at a hockey game today. On the one hand I'm disappointed because it's a no hitting age group and he got ejected from the game. On the other hand it was an absolutely beautiful hit and a good play. Lol 2 more years little buddy.
housecarder oh no! I hope you can get rid of the lice quick.
I'm just glad I noticed her scratching before they had time to infest here. I'll still bag up her bedding and stuff as a precaution but it shouldn't be too bad.

I hate being the only adult home overnight. I'm convinced someone is going to get DS and me. We got an alarm which helps, but I still barely sleep so I feel your pain.
I can't sleep either. We saw a house we loved today. I thought we'd be fighting tooth and nail over picking a house til the bitter end, and then we both love the 2nd one we looked at. It's a freaking miracle. We're going to look at a few more in the morning and then probably make an offer. Now I'm so anxious about all the things that could go wrong I can't sleep.
