My skin is breaking out like crazy in weird spots. I hate it--wrinkles and zits are a bad combo, especially wen you can't use the good skin stuff.
I felt a little nauseous yesterday and today, but nothing too bad. I didn't really have MS with my son, but I also didn't have it with my loses so I'm actually sort of hoping to have it.
The bloat is ridiculous. I'm glad I bought a few larger size items recently because I need them now!
hugs to everyone! I too feel disappointingly well I had some light MS with DS and today I squirmed when buttering my son's bread so I guess that's a good sign... but that's about the highlight here. I'm luckily still tired but I don't know if these things are more psychological or pregnancy related!
At least I can go to the bathroom this time. Last time it was like I was stocking up for winter or something. I'm guessing Clearasil is one of those pregnancy nonos right? Was about to use it this morning but then thought twice...
I think Clearasil is okay because it contains Benzoyl Peroxide, correct?
This is what webMD says:
If you want to use over-the-counter acne products, be sure to talk to your doctor first. Products containing benzoyl peroxide appear to be safe for pregnant women. But products containing salicylic acids are not, as they can lead to birth defects. Doctors also recommend not using products with alpha-hydroxy acids, as they are absorbed into the bloodstream and the effects on fetuses are unknown.
My face has gotten worse, just in the last day or so. I'm 39 years old and shouldn't be breaking out like a teenager! It's almost all on the left side of my face, though, I think because I sleep on that side most of the time. I'm hopeful that it'll get back under control after the 1st trimester, though.
With DD1, I had one week of nausea/constant hunger at 6 weeks, and then it went away. With DD2, at around 6 weeks, I had only a few days of the nausea/constant hunger. I'm really hoping it's not worse this time around. Time will tell.

Well, damn. Means I have to stop using my moisturizers. And these are the only ones I can find that ensure I don't break out. It's not a key ingredient, it's buried deep in there when I go to the site. But I guess better safe than sorry.

I keep getting ads for Belli Skincare, which is supposed preg-safe skin care products. Anyone know anything about them? I wish I could call my cousin and let her know I am knocked up - she is a skin care specialist.

I'll double check (because, stairs. Ugh) but I think you're right wih the benzoyl peroxide. Thanks!
I've noticed I can't do popcorn. It's the smell. I ate some at work, and threw the bag away after the janitor had been in my room. Came in the next day and it was the WORST smell ever.
Here's another one...twice a day now I am RUNNING to the bathroom because I gotta poop. Is that normal? hahaha Could also be all the stress I guess. It's just tough. It's not like I can leave my classroom whenever.
I've had a couple "urgent" days too, in between constipated days (which I can't believe is starting already).
I took a second clearblue with weeks test today and it showed 3+ weeks...so I guess I am truly done peeing on things! (though I do have a couple blue dye tests laying around. Maybe for funsies...)
Well, at least it's not unheard of...I think it's a combo of things...nerves, pregnancy, and I am sick.
I've got a ton of drainage going on, and I have one of those annoying coughs going on where I cough until I gag. Add to that my horrible gag reflex right now, and it's not a good combo.

My ute has been cramping so much lately that I've had really urgent, bad diarreha a couple times - luckily, been home each time instead of out at work or doing chores.
just constipated for me! That's generally the story of my life, it just gets a bit worse during pregnancy. macaronmama, sure you didn't pick up a stomach bug? Diarrhea is common in pregnancy but if it's really bad and crampy you might have picked up something. Which is good, because then it should be over soon
Guise, quick question. My practice is closed for carnaval and I refuse to Dr. Google anything until I see/hear a heartbeat (I spiral out of control man... I've seen some things...) When do rhesus negative people need to get their rhogan shot? I know it's after any bleeding but in a healthy (2nd) pregnancy?
I didn't have one with my 1st because he is also a negative blood type, but I also didn't have one after my miscarriage. And this only crossed my mind now... Anyone know if I should be running to the out of hours doc or can I just wait till the practice opens?

I don't know much about it, but Dr. Google says:
When is RhoGAM Administered?
RhoGAM only needs to be administered when Rh-negative blood may potentially be exposed to Rh-positive blood. This most commonly occurs during pregnancy and blood transfusions. For Rh-negative women who are experiencing their first pregnancy, RhoGAM is usually not administered until their 28th week of pregnancy, and then again within 72 hours after delivery. For every subsequent pregnancy after the first, RhoGAM will need to be administered at regular intervals, especially during the second half of the pregnancy. It is also extremely important for Rh-negative women to receive this injection after any miscarriage or abortion in order to avoid future pregnancy complications.

My immediate reaction was brought to you by the letter F... Thanks! I'm going to call the out of hours line and ask them what's going on. I'm glad I didn't Dr. Google this myself... would have probably ended up with a buzzfeed list of 16 ways this pregnancy is going to fail. FFFFFFF....
**update** Apparently they do it differently here in Holland. We get the shot only if the fetus is rhesus positive, or after a miscarriage from 10 weeks. Before 16 weeks the placenta is not well enough established to enable blood transfusion, so my body will not have learned to make the antibodies yet that could harm the baby. When I said I didn't like the differences in views they said I will get the shot at my 8w appointment, or if I don't want to wait I can come in on Wednesday when the practice opens again. Thanks again for your help jwinct !

crimpgirl, I had nausea before I had my BFP - it was one of the reasons I tested because I almost never am. It was pretty bad for that whole week, but has subsided somewhat since then for me.
Feel you on the acid reflux. There is another expecting Oct mom who is also has it pretty bad - what are you taking for it?
