Not much going on here other than cleaning my house at some point and going to a birthday party later. Hoping I'm symptom free while I'm with my friends tonight.
What is a baby signing, WittyLittle? None of my friends have littles yet, so I have never heard of this phenomenon. Glad your kid is getting a nap - hope he feels better soon!

macaronmama baby signing is a class where you learn some basic signing for things like milk, sleep, more, finished, etc. It helps babies communicate before they can talk. DS is being raised trilingually so he will start talking later so this helps him tell us what he wants. Helps with screaming

Grocery shopping and house cleaning this morning. We talked about going swimming this afternoon but DH slipped on some ice yesterday and hurt his back. We'll see how he feels when he wakes up.
Heading to my ILs for my husband's birthday dinner. Not looking forward to it in the least bit. My youngest BIL got his 20yo gf KU, and they just had the baby a couple days ago. They live with my ILs, and I can't stand the girl so I already know that fact plus the fact my hormones are making me into a raging bitch, it should be an interesting time.

Oh, like a signing class, got it! Yes, I have heard of that, but hadn't considered it in a while. Would probably have to convince DH to do it. Hmm. And it's probably be hella expensive out here (boo). Is it popular where you live, WittyLittle?
adouces06, oh, good luck with the birthday dinner. Maybe they'll retire early with baby, one can hope.

Just opened my package from Gap this morning. I forgot I had ordered this shirt, and got worried that I wouldn't be able to wear it for very long now that I am gonna get bigger, but it's so super long and stretchy! This is gonna be perfect for wearing during the whole nine months almost.
I got it in the dark dark color, and I'm short so that is probably why so long, but yay, so excited.
WittyLittle - I'm sorry you missed signing class but glad you guys got some rest. I forgot you are several time zones ahead of me so I was momentarily confused about how you had missed class already at like 7:30 AM! Hope DH is feeling better hikingmama222! I LOVE that shirt macaronmama. I'm glad it's big enough to grow with you!
We went over to a local antique car museum that has a kid's area and huge model train room. DS liked it! Then we ate brunch and got home in time for DS's nap. Should be a quiet day from here I think.
It is 68 and gorgeous here today! While getting ready for church this morning one of DH's best friends invaded my bathroom time so he could puke after getting to drunk last night and needing to stay at our house. Fun times there. After church we are going to get groceries and then go get wood so DH can make signs for me to craft with. I feel like we're about 65 years old on Sunday's usually.

hikingmama222 i hope he's feeling better! adouces06 I didn't even realise we hadn't had a randoms thread yet! Pregnesia is for real apparently! good luck with dinner tonight. sounds rough macaronmama it only costs about $4 to do an hour long session and they only do it once a month so it's really ok! I love that shirt! Just checked but rhey dont have it here brit365 that friend sounds...lovely... must have been great for your morning sickness! caer that museum sounds awesome! I really miss that here. Museums are so un child friendly
I really need to look into more interactive baby/toddler activities in the community. I know they're out there. I think generally the problem is that DS sleeps til around 10 or 10:30 in the morning, and so many baby events are early morning. Not that I'm complaining- I will definitely take the sleep.
We plan to get together with friends for dinner tonight. This is actually the third time we've rescheduled dinner because her kids were sick, then we were all sick. Finally the plants align!

Oh wow! I complain when Jake gets up at 8.30 and we're late on daycare run and work! we have the problem that activities run right through his nap time... so we never do fun things either unless it's at 13:00 or later

WittyLittle, I may have to look into that then, $4 is less than a Starbucks, wow.
brit365, No shame in being 65 on Sundays - that sounds perfect in my universe. Well, aside from the puking house guest.
raechay, have fun at dinner tonight. I actualy renigged on the birthday dinner because I found out about half the people in my friends group have been recently sick with a cold/bronchitis. No thanks.
I am late to the party but I had dance class for three hours yesterday. Had a great time but I was so pooped last night. Ended the night watching grease live!

What did you think of Grease? I made it through about half before falling asleep. I thought it was actually pretty good.
I actually thought it was really good. The only part that I didn't care for is they added a song for Frenchie before Beauty School Dropout and I found it just drug on and didn't match the style or era of the movie. Otherwise l, I thought it was great and very well done.

Might this be the place in Hershey? If so, I was trying to convince DH to go, but he held out and we stayed in our PJs all day.

It was! Have you been before? It was our first time there.
caer, I have not been there yet. Did you like it? Is it suitable for 18 mo toucheverythingthingtheysee kiddos?
Parts of it. There are several floors where everything is off limits. Lots of no touching signs. The bottom floor has a play area but it's not contained. The model train area is cool - lots of buttons to touch. The also have a retro diner on the ground level that he could play in. Honestly, we went because DH wanted to but it may be better suited for a slightly older kiddo.
