We moved the old furniture out of the nursery today but we hit a snag. The crib is 3" too wide to fit through the door. We'll have to take it apart to move it.

Boo. That sucks. Hopefully it's not too much of a pain to disassemble/reassemble.

Progress has been made! The walls are painted and a lot of the carpeting has been torn up. There are still some things that need to be moved out of the room, but we will get to that this week.

Resurrecting this thread because I can FINALLY play! Our nursery renovation is complete and I'm so excited. We did vents, outlets, switches, plates, covers, paint, trim, baseboard, and closet system! Basically everything but new windows and new floor. I am so proud of us. We've been making furniture for a few years but now that we are new homeowners this is officially our first room renovation and I think it went pretty durn well.

My sister's going to put the decals up in the nursery this weekend (she comes to visit, I put her to work) and at that point we're done. It's hard to take pictures of the room, since it's so small.
He's basically going to be living in Harry Potter's under the stair closet. Much like DD does. Can not wait to move in a few years.
Love it teraiin !! Of course your child would have extensive reading material, picture books or otherwise haha.
...I may or may not have a 6ft tall book case full of elementary chapter books down in the library/music room... the downfall of working at a library I guess haha.

birkmmm, love the room. Also so jealous of the name. I love Ryker (DH does too), but our last name ends with -er, so we thought it made the flow sound off.

Your nursery is adorable birkmmm. My husband also would claim certain orange colors as his favorite, but never tells anyone since he is picky about the shade.
This weekend I will try to get things arranged and decorated in our nursery so I can AW the finished product.
