Anybody else pretty chill about these rules? I don't pound the deli meat daily but I don't avoid it. Hell yes to runny egg yolks. I don't believe the occasional glass of wine is harmful. Well done steak will never enter this body, and I have a freezer full of steaks so...And that vagina air thing sounds made up.
I ate runny eggs for breakfast today. I love steak and will only eat it cooked medium. I'm not a huge fan of deli meat in general, but I ate a salami sandwich the other day and occasionally pop a slice in my mouth while making my kids' lunches. With my previous 2 pregnancies, I enjoyed a full glass of wine about once a month after I was well out of the 1st trimester. So, I'm right there with you.
It's not one that I hear as frequently as others, but during my last pregnancy, my OB recommended a limited artificial sweetener intake. The big one to try to avoid is aspartame (in all major diet sodas).
I will also mourn the loss of being able to eat sushi and rare meat. Oh, and oysters.
I eat sushi and oysters. Maybe that's a FFFC? I do not get RAW oysters so they are at least steamed, but sushi...yeah. I ate both of these with my last pregnancy as well.
I generally only avoid alcohol (although sip or two here or there after first tri I might do). I don't smoke, but if I did I wouldn't be doing that. I eat all the lunch meats b/c at this point listeria keeps popping up in salads and fruits anyway so I can't avoid every single thing.
I was interested in the acne one and that's good to know - I have been using my spot treatment still and it has benzoyl peroxide in it. I'm glad I can keep using it b/c the pregnancy acne is NO JOKE on my end.

When I was pregnant with DS, we went to Disney World and ate at one of the Mexican restaurants. I asked the waiter if the queso fresco was pasteurized, and he looked at me like I was ridiculous. That meal turned out to be my least favorite of the trip, regardless of the cheese.
I remember my doctor telling me last time that 200 mg of caffeine a day was okay. I drink a large Dunkin Donuts iced tea just about every day, so I made sure right away that it was below that threshold. I don't drink soda or coffee, so the tea is my only source of caffeine. I don't like runny egg yolks, will order my steak medium well instead of medium, don't eat fish, and will also only eat heated deli meat. I did eat deli potato salad during third tri last time, because it was summer and I wanted it.

(Forgive me if this was covered and I missed it)
I've read that as long as the face wash you are using doesn't contain more than 2% salicylic acid and you're not bathing in it you're safe. It's more prescription acne creams that contain higher levels that are dangerous.

I warm up my lunch meat for about 20 seconds before I put it on my sandwich. I packed my bread and meat separately while I taught so I could warm it up. I will eat all the American cheese.
I eat chocolate and cookie dough from time to time. The cookie dough that is premade is pasteurized. I also have a soda a few times a week.
I'm not a coffee drinker and not a fan of fish or sushi.
I hate the pregnancy rules. Many of them represent such a low amount of risk that they shouldn't be on any sort of rule list to begin with. The only one I pay attention to is the alcohol one and that's mainly because DH isn't comfortable with me drinking beyond a sip or two here and there during pregnancy.
That said, I think people should stick to what they're comfortable with. If eating a sandwich from Subway is going to make anxiety rear its ugly head, stay away from deli meats. Trust yourself and do what you believe if right for yourself.
I have a lot of anxiety so unfortunately I usually follow a lot of the rules. I don't judge anyone who doesn't though. I feel like I'm a little more relaxed this time around though. I was really hoping for Chili's buff chicken with blue cheese and their chips and queso. It's a national chain so the stuff is probably pasteurized right?

It's my understanding that most cheese is pasteurized. Anything that isn't should be clearly labeled and will likely be significantly more expensive. But, I'm in Canada where rules are different.

I'm in the everything in moderation boat. I don't really follow any of the "rules". I'm not a big drinker to begin with, so I don't drink during pregnancy. Cheese, lunch meat (had Subway last week), coffee, sushi I'm all fine with. Haven't had sushi in a long time, but my birthday is next week and I'm pretty sure I'll convince my girlfriend to go out and indulge a bit.

I'm chill on rules. I ate a fair share of deli meat and hot dogs my last pregnancy, took baths pretty much every day in the third trimester (holy back pain), gyro's were a staple, and I drank several glasses of wine. I didn't ingest caffeine, but I can't avoid that with a toddler so that's a staple this pregnancy.

I have been dipping into caffeinated tea this week because I wouldn't survive otherwise. But it's still pretty low in comparison to coffee. As for other things like cheese, I'm going for it unless it clearly states it's not pasteurized, which I believe is law here in the US. Tempted to go for the runny egg yolks too, I can't seem to stomach scrambled eggs in the morning anymore.
ETA: I had about 1/3 of a beer when I was 40+1 last pregnancy and a few 1/2 glasses of champagnes or wines during holidays/weddings. I also ate lunch meat. I took a hot bath every single night of pregnancy due to RLS. I also will eat all the hot dogs this summer because sometimes a BBQ calls for a hot dog. And I will be back to coffee as soon as it sounds appealing.
Oh, and it sucks not being able to take ibuprofen. I have a headache and I know Tylenol is not going to help much.
This is the only thing that causes a problem for me, although with my last pregnancy I didn't have many headaches. Hopefully it'll be the same this time.
So when I was pregnant with DS, my first appt was at 9-10 weeks with the "OB Educator", an appt to basically go over the dos and donts of being pregnant and whatnot. Unfortunately for this pregnancy guru, I had taken to the Internet in the weeks leading up to the appt. "People say deodorant is bad for baby, that I should be making my own! Is that true??" "Can I *really* not have cold lunch meat? I've been sick and losing weight and the only damn thing that sounds good is a COLD ham and cheese sandwich!"
I think the lady people thought I was crazy, but then she probably gets that all the time. She was basically like... "Don't drink, smoke, do drugs, or play in traffic."
I mean, really, let's be real. Don't overthink things.

I REALLY wish I could take some ibuprofen right now for a headache, or Excedrin.
I will do cooked sushi, but stay away from raw. I would be having some right now if I wasn't feeling so lazy. I think I tried to avoid nitrates with DS, but it was almost pointless since even nitrite free foods have some naturally occurring nitrites (nitrates?) in them. I'll skip deli meat for the most part since it's not something I have regularly. I hate runny eggs so that's an easy one. I love booze, so I will pretty much avoid the entire time aside from a sip or two if it's a new wine or beer I'd like to try.
The listeria thing in produce is no joke. How do you get around that? Skip bagged salads and really wash fruits?
I have no idea why I wrote all that out. My procrastination is in full effect right now!

With everyone on the ibuprofen - my mouth still hurts from the cavities yesterday and I am so sick of chewing along only one side.
All you ladies talking about hot dogs are making me crave one SUPER badly. I have the natural, all-beef hotdogs by Oscar Mayer at home. I was avoiding them in general, but I feel like a super wimpy FTM worries about all the food restrictions now compared to all you lovely dare devils. XD

Wait, can I get an official board ruling on whether I can have my eggs Benedict? (Runny yolks). Last pregnancy I did telling myself that eggs were pasteurized anyway. But isn't the risk also with it not being all the way cooked (hence it being runny?)
Also, cured meats? Like smoked salmon instead of cooked salmon.

I don't have any hard rules during pregnancy except no alcohol. Everything in moderation - putting a lot of stress on yourself is worse than a little bit of deli meat or runny eggs
