Hello Everyone,

Your friendly tech support person here with a reminder that if you are ever redirected to another site and told to download an update for your phone, your adobe flashplayer, adobe acrobat, or that you have a virus the chances are it is trying to get you to download unsafe content. DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING on those pages. Please screenshot these posts and/or copy the link if possible and PM it to me. Click the x on your browser to close the page afterward.

Some DESKTOP users on Proboards forums are seeing redirects that tell them their adobe acrobat or flashplayer are out of date and need updated. This is NOT a notice from adobe. Let me know if it happens to you. It's happening on multiple forums and Proboards is looking into it, but the more information they have the better.

Some MOBILE users are experiencing similar redirects claiming they have a virus (you don't) or to a site called "Cooogle" (this is not Google, lol). Again, do not click anything. Screenshot and PM me with the following if possible:

I got the fake google virus notification on my kindle table roughly within the past hour or two. Regular internet connection (not a mobile provider data plan). WI. Shortly after (probably a few minutes), I got another with the same google look but asking me not to pass up my prize of a free ipad. That one was not even letting me click the "x" to close the page.

I looked in my history to get the website info for my occurrences (see above for basic info).

First was at 5:29pm CT yesterday. It looks like it initially jumped to terraclicks.com then jumped to jdoingtrkac.com then nxilnjpumh.pw/[...] (with various letters and numbers and such following the "pw/" for a total of eight sites with that beginning address), all within seconds (no clicking by me).

Second was at 5:38pm CT yesterday. It again initially redirected to terraclicks.com then jumped to two sites beginning with rewardforpoll.com, again all within seconds and without me clicking anything.

Not if this is related to the redirects, but I'm now getting this pop-up/error when I visit the site on mobile. It's happened at least 10x today. Android, mobile WiFi, TN, last happened five minutes ago.

bshelly, that's actually an android issue with chrome itself. If you follow the steps in this link you can disable webGl, it's typically disabled by default in chrome. The instructions tell you how to enable it but you follow the same steps and just click "disable" and that should make that go away.

Can you try the debugger tool. It tells pb exactly which add is causing the issue.
