DS is a big fan of the "In My ___" series with the finger puppets in the middle. He likes to bite the animal and shriek on every page. I also learned that we need to shelf (ha) the paper page books for awhile and stick with board books unless I want them all destroyed/want to face more library shame.
DS likes Little Bunny, Little Dog & Humpty Dumpty all finger puppet books. Other favorites (mine he doesn't seem to have a preference with these) are The Pout Pout Fish, Eric Carle books and Nancy Tillman books.
I read a different Dr. Seuss each night. She loves to look up at me when there are funny rhymes and sounds. @bunannie I started giving her a little toy to hold and chew while I read since she keeps trying to grab the pages- maybe that will help him sit and listen?
He will sit and look/ listen to The Goodnight train and Goodnight Moon, he even likes to turn the page for me. Like PP he also likes to play with the finger puppet books
DD still loves I kissed the baby by Mary Murphy Also, Monster fun (it's a Monster Inc. book), Little Ambulance, Sleepy Squirrel, THe Foot Book, The Best Mouse Cookie.
We have a lot of books. My parents have some with eyes you put your fingers in. She loves those too.
DD has a name book that my mom's friend gave her. It has a bunch of animals that spell out her whole name with a little rhymes for each letter! She loves to look at the animals on each page! It's a super cute book!
He also likes this book a lot! It has crinkly flaps to play with. I take it in the car with us and set it on his lap and it keeps him very entertained.
Goodnight Moon we have read almost every night since he was born. That's our last book before bed and he now points to the pictures and words. We choose one other different book each night. Many Dr. Suess, Eric carlisle, Skippy Jon Jones, Pooh, bits and pieces, daddy loves spot. My personal fave from my own childhood is Sesame Streets "there is a monster at the end of this book". He doesn't get it yet but it makes me laugh.

We have that one too. DH has voice for every animal, he decided the beaver is French Canadian

DD loves all the books. She gets excited about our very hungry caterpillar finger puppet counting book when she spots it across the room. My favorite is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. I also like I am a Bunny.
Ds is really into the "that's not my" books. He loves the textures and he knows where to touch the textures on the pages. Also, ten little fingers by Mem Fox.

We have the Sir Prance-a-lot one. DD likes chewing on it, and playing with the different textures.

This is the book we read every night. I have it memorized and she loves to turn the pages. Her favorite page is the last one with the kid on it, she smiles every time she sees it and it cracks me up.
We just got this book from Walmart and she loves it!! It's a lift the flap book with baby faces under them. She loves looking at other baby faces and will pet them.
We've been reading Steam Train, Dream Train since he was a couple weeks old. That and I Love You More are in the normal rotation for night time books (when he's not cranky pants and skips the book before bed).

We read a lot of Sandra Boyton (sp?) I guess his favorite is Moo, Baa, La La La. I like reading Dr. Suess books, he is a fan of ripping pages. Oh! Llama llama books are fun to read too.

I want sir prance a lot mainly because of the title! Lol

We have Llama Llama Hoppity Hop. It's cute and a fun read, but I take issue with it saying "llama llama red pajama" but the lil llama is in an orange sweater and green overalls.
