Going good. I have no real symptoms yet. I told my boss yesterday. My mom works in the same office and a few others already knew so I wanted him to hear it from me. My team is small and close knit. Everyone has been waiting for the announcement from me since DD just turned 3. He was so happy he almost started crying. It was sweet.
I get a year mat leave and coverage isn't an issue.
Work is good. I will probably tell them around 15-16 weeks. It will be a shocker to my boss because I was just on maternity leave last spring. Unfortunately for him, this leave will coincide with a busy time of year for us, but I'm not about to base my decisions on adding to my family to make his work load easier.
hikingmama222 I wish I had a year for maternity leave! That would be awesome. I'll get the typical 12 weeks, which I am going to take full advantage of this time. Last time, I didn't have STDI so I went back to work PT at about 5.5 weeks so I would have some sort of income.
My principal already knows. She is struggling with IF, and when I needed repeated blood draws after my ectopic, I told her my history. When I had to leave early for blood work, I just told her.
I will probably tell my boss after the first tri is over. I won't be at my job long enough to qualify for FMLA, but I'm hoping to still be able to take close to 12 weeks.
Im doing pretty well. The exhaustion has really taken a toll (ive been on progesterone supplement for 2 weeks now) and the nausea and acid reflux have just kicked in. Other than that, I'm feeling pretty good.
I'll probably tell my boss somewhere around 12 weeks. He knew we did IVF, but I'm not ready to tell the world just yet.
I already had to tell some charge nurses because there are certain patients pregnant women shouldn't work with. But I work in a big hospital and I float, so my boss probably doesn't know. I'd like to wait til 14 weeks or so to tell her. I was on mat leave a year ago so it's unexpected.
I'm a little worried about mat leave this time bc I won't have short term disability since I work per diem now. I will be pinching pennies I guess, I don't like the idea of reducing the already pathetic 12 weeks leave given to us in the US.

So glad that went well! My last job had me on bump watch forever.
I'm feeling okay. Occasionally a bit queasy feeling, but not bad yet; it's still early, though.
I don't particularly care for my boss, so I'm not in a hurry to tell him. I'm not planning to tell him until after the first tri, hopefully after we have cell-free DNA testing and whatever other testing & u/s done. I want to know if everything's okay. Work is going to be shocked because they knew we had been planning to foster-to-adopt and were waiting for a placement.

I'll be telling as late as possible. I was only just on mat leave and had my contract extended right before that for long term illness... they will be less than thrilled if I've managed to squeeze in another extension before my contract expires!
I wear vests with scarves to hide the blump at the moment, so hopefully I can keep that going when it turns to bump.
I haven't told my boss or charge nurse yet since I havent been assigned patients I can't work with. I will tell them then or after first tri, whichever comes first. I also get a year of mat leave.

Guessing you're in Canada too? There's a few of us here
Work's fine. I will probably tell at 12 weeks or so. Maybe sooner depending on whether I encounter activities that I cannot do (I sometimes work with a chemical that I can't use during pregnancy and this is what made me tell my manager last time although I was already 12 weeks or so).
Last time I hadn't been with my company long so I felt weird and wanted to wait longer. Plus I was going from no kids to one vs. one to two, so it seemed like a bigger change in terms of my need for flexibility, etc.
Last time I worked until 40+2 (when I was induced for low fluid) but I hope I deliver before then this time! Mostly it was fine but the last week I wanted to kill people!

Now that I think about it, I have no idea how my current supervisor is going to handle this. I have only been in my position for 5 months and will be there a year barely after I am due. We expected to be adopting around the same time, so I told my previous boss as a heads up. Now that she retired, I was planning on telling her boss similiarly that we expected to adopt. Not that I'm pregnant, I think I'm going to wait the 12 weeks unless I really start to show or get sick. And I need to come up with an awesome plan because the only other person in my dept is my employee and I don't want to leave her alone for three months with a brand new boss (probably hired by July/August) who has no clue what we do.
