I just wrapped gifts...using Minnie paper of course.
Are you doing your gifts at the party or on her actual birthday? Unless party day is the birthday....
Her party is on her actual bday because it falls on a Saturday (the 5th). I'm trying to decide if she should open her presents from us (me and husband) that morning or with all the other presents at the party. Thoughts? My husband could care less. If her party was not on her actual bday, I would have her open our gifts on her actual bday.

Ha, I was just thinking about this today. E's birthday and her party are also the same day (the 19th). I think I've decided on opening her gifts from us at the same time as her other gifts. She didn't seem as into opening gifts and christmas as I thought she would be, so I think she will do better if she just opens them all at the same time.
Unless it happens to be a beautiful day and the kids can play outside. We're getting her a little basketball net and a bath toy. If the kids can play outside, maybe we'll open and set up the basketball net earlier so they can go out and play with it at the party, and open her bath toy with the other gifts.
E adores Minnie! Since the summer whenever she sees minnie she smiles and says "Minnie!" She used to call Mickey, Minnie too, but she had some diapers with them on it so my husband taught her the difference.
We went to Disney World two weeks ago and she got to meet Mickey and Minnie twice. She was in love.

Last year her party and birthday were on the same day, we gave her our gifts separate that morning.

The more I think about it, I think I like this option better. She will be able to enjoy our gifts more if they are opened separately. And she is getting a basketball hoop that I really want to play with. I don't want to wait until that evening.

DD1 did the same thing until about 2 months ago! Lol.
I hope you had an amazing trip at Disney! I bet your daughter loved every second of it. We went just a week after DD1 turned 1 so before the Minnie obsession started. I think it started at around 14 months. When we went we did "meet the characters" and she was skeptical of Minnie, Mickey and goofy. I would love to take her now because she would freak out in excitement of meeting the characters. But we won't be going back for another year or two because we just had another baby.

I went to Party City the other day to buy stuff for her party. I didn't go overboard, just got plates, cups, plastic wear, balloons, wrapping paper etc, and it still all came to $83! Yikes, I thought we could have a low key, just family, inexpensive birthday this year. I didn't even get Minnie plates, I just got red with polka dots.

DS's birthday is tomorrow and I am doing as much cooking and decorating as I can today so I'm not over stressed tomorrow. I tend to have grand ideas for his birthday, bite off more than I can chew and then majorly stress out the day of. Hopefully I can avoid that this time around.
I will be sure to post pictures of all my hard work ?.
ours is planned for Saturday; lets just say I'm the opposite of you. Park play with cake after fruit and nugget tray offered. I'll buy paper products tomorrow and show up. Hope yours goes wonderfully
We still haven't decided. We're either going to go cheap and rent a park pavilion and invite the whole class (10 kids), or we're going to invite a few close friends and their kids to the zoo and dinner at a kiddie restaurant. Good thing we have a end of the month baby.
Carter's birthday was a success. It turned out great and everyone thought the food was awesome (I pride myself on my cooking). @kellbell, for sure next year I think we will go the simple route. Hopefully after being in early preschool he will have made some friends that we can invite.
It's was last Saturday. The kids loved the museum. Invited 12 kids, 6 showed up. Cake turned out very cute and she got a ton of new books! Now we are having to get a bigger book case! Will post some pictures tomorrow at work.

Way behind but ours was on the 5th. We rented a small studio near our us and it was a blast! A lot of my mom's club friends came and the kids had a ball playing with the toys and running all around. She was of course spoiled and now it's just a matter of organizing her room again
We had the cutest paw patrol cake and if I can figure out how to upload pictures I will.
