I don't even think we are close to starting to potty train.
I just talked to a mom of 3 today and she told me to wait with DS. Although he's showing some signs she saw tons of regression in her son because she pushed too early. I plan on working on it this summer when we are home and it's warm enough for him to run around naked outside. Plus, by then hopefully he will be used to having a baby around so we won't see regression because of baby.
We started potty training today. Lots of oblivious peeing on the floor, but he is starting to get the idea he is peeing and even initiated one pee in the potty by saying he had to poop. I think we will have to do 2 days of naked training until he gets it enough to move to commando.

We had to do 4 days. She wasn't clueless but no pee was getting in the potty until day 4. It was like a light bulb went off.
Oh man it's exhausting watching your child's EVERY move all day! How long were those going by the OH Crap book in block one?
4
I mixed the blocks though. We went on our first outing the second day. Only bc I had no choice. I had to take DS1 across town. No diaper and no accident.

So nice to hear! Did you watch her like a hawk for all 4 days?

Yes, as much as I could. I wasn't able to get her to the potty when she was peeping bc I always seemed to be holding L and nursing him when she would go. I just kept saying, "we don't pee pee on the floor, we pee pee in the potty." She got it by day four and we added pants on day 5.

I do the same. But she has developed a smell. I wonder if I switch to wipes instead of toilet paper I'll make sure she's clean after each time. She's getting stubborn and wanting to do it more and more herself tho so maybe wipes for her to use?

It's worth a try. I would also make sure she got a bath every night. That would ensure she was cleaned up real good at the end of the day.
She is a champ at home, totally potty trained in underwear. It took her 1.5 days to move to commando. Stool put pull ups on her at nap time but they are always dry so may drop those when at home. Not even touching night training but a few nights she was totally dry and peed huge first thing.

Anyone find a good folding/portable toilet seat?
I have the one they sell at Walmart. It was $10 and it works great.
DD made the entire 15 hours with no accident. We are headed back. FX she makes it back with no accidents. She is still staying dry at night too! I wasn't sure if she would continue to stay dry at night because of being in a different environment. I think I can safely say she is fully trained at this point.
Dd was accident free 4-5 days at daycare this week! Does peeing in the yard count? She did drop her pants first.
Yup, it counts. I even counted it when she dropped her pants and then peed all over the pants around her ankles...
I just over thought this post and can't tell if "does it count" mean does it count as an accident (yes accident) or does it count in that does not mean it's an accident (not an accident). I clearly am too invested in potty training lol.

Lol. I would not count this as an "accident". It's a logistic issue, not an issue with her knowing she needs to go!
Well, scratch the done training part. We had a busy busy day full of play and she had 2 accidents. I'm pretty sure the first was because she couldn't get to me fast enough and the second bc she was just too busy.
Although, my oldest had accidents for a long time bc he just didn't want to stop what he was doing.
Update on our potty training adventure-DS seems to be getting the idea of peeing on the potty but poop is still an issue. He has yet to take himself to the potty for pee or poop without being prompted, but he hasn't had a pee accident in 3 days. As for poop he still just goes when he wants to in his pants and the only "warning" we get sometimes is a toot or he stands really still to start pushing. With shorts weather quickly approaching I'm thinking I am going to need to put him into undies sooner rather than later otherwise poop is going to just drop right out of his shorts.
Anyone else move to undies yet or are they still all commando? Any tips for helping get poop in the potty?
walkek85, for poop, I had to watch for her poop signal and quickly get her to the potty. Eventually she had no problem going on the potty. Also, DD didn't start regularly self initiating for a few weeks. I still do a some prompting.
We are still going commando too. I will probably wait another week before putting undies on her. I want us to get back to our regular schedule after this trip we have been on.
