How's everyone doing? Physically? Emotionally? I am doing okay both physically and emotionally. Yesterday was my EDD, but I was so busy that I didn't have time to think about it much.
How was your weekend? My weekend was good. It was busy. We were at my parents house all weekend so that DS could play with his cousins that were visiting from out of state.
Anything new to share? Nope.
What was your best moment with your LO(s) this week? I have 2. The other day we were sitting in the chair reading a book and my husband was in another chair in the room. My husband would pretend to fall asleep and DS would point to a letter in the book and yell its name. When DS yelled the letter DH would "wake up." DS just laughed and laughed. Also, we took him bowling yesterday. I am pretty sure DS had fun.
GTKY: Now that Valentine's Day is over, I've got spring on the brain! What do you love most about spring? Or, if you're not a fan of spring, which season do you like best? My favorite thing about spring is seeing the tress get their leaves. I also like that the weather gets warmer.
Accountability Question: How did you do last week as far as reaching your goal? What is your goal this week and what are you doing to stay on track? I did well last week. I joined a wellness challenge at work, which is helping be healthier and motivating me to get my exercise in. My goal this week is to try to earn a point in my wellness challenge for eating three servings of fruit in one day. I do well getting in my veggies, fruits are more difficult.
How's everyone doing? Physically? Emotionally? Ok I guess....dealing with a particularly nasty AF but at least she appears to be on her way out. I had worked up the courage to schedule an appt with a PCP (I HATE drs) and find out if I actually have Type II or not, and we woke up to 1/4" of ice this morning, so now I have to reschedule and deal with the anticipation of waiting all over again
How was your weekend? Well..AF arrived exactly on time (the silver lining) but man she was particularly nasty this time...I don't think I've had that heavy bleeding since the post partum stuff with DD...Sat was bad, yesterday was a little better, and today has been much much better.
Anything new to share? nope
What was your best moment with your LO(s) this week? we've been iced in today and spent quite a bit of time cuddling under a blanket because it's been cold..that was nice to have cuddles
GTKY: Now that Valentine's Day is over, I've got spring on the brain! What do you love most about spring? Or, if you're not a fan of spring, which season do you like best? I don't love spring because I'm super allergic to pretty much anything that grows in spring. I like Fall and Winter best, but try to make the most of spring by taking pictures of my flowers and spending time outside (with a lot of allergy meds on board, lol)
Accountability Question: How did you do last week as far as reaching your goal? What is your goal this week and what are you doing to stay on track? I did ok on food last week, not so much this weekend though....I am back to tracking food again this week, and I'd love to get back to my walks around the office complex at work, but I can't until the weather cooperates (it's supposed to rain quite a bit this week).
How's everyone doing? Physically? Emotionally? Physically, fine. I'm feeling more and more anxious as AF approaches and we burn the bench.
How was your weekend? Awesome! My office was closed Friday and Monday thanks to the presidents' birthdays, so I got to be home for four days with DS! Of course, dropping him off at DC this morning ripped my heart out more than usual.
Anything new to share? Nope.
What was your best moment with your LO(s) this week? We had a dance party in the kitchen a few nights ago. He loves to dance (stomp his feet like a maniac) then stops, waiting for you to copy him. Then he squeaks with laughter. Repeat until one of us is too exhausted to go on. :-)
GTKY: Now that Valentine's Day is over, I've got spring on the brain! What do you love most about spring? Or, if you're not a fan of spring, which season do you like best? This will be our first spring in our home, and I'm so excited for gardening! Though, similar to tbonequeen13, Claritin will be my bff.
Accountability Question: How did you do last week as far as reaching your goal? What is your goal this week and what are you doing to stay on track? I need to get my act together ASAP.
How's everyone doing? Physically? Emotionally? Doing okay. AF is on her way out so a little less crazy in the head. I'm still sad about not TTC again, but at least for today it doesn't make me cry when I think about it.
How was your weekend? It was a mix. DH and I went out to a nice dinner Saturday. We don't get quality adult only time as much as we need it and it's nice to be reminded of how much we really enjoy each other. DD2 started with fevers Sunday and was sick until today. I love the extra snuggles, but having 27 lbs stuck to me 24/7 was exhausting.
Anything new to share? Nope
What was your best moment with your LO(s) this week? Watching DD1 go sledding with DH. She had the best time. It felt good to see DD2 start feeling better. I hate feeling so helpless!
GTKY: I love when everything turns green and looks so fresh! I also love getting outside more.
Accountability Question: Had a good week. Made 5 workouts and stuck with clean eating (aside from our dinner out). I'm feeling good and motivated to keep going. I actually felt gross after missing two days at the gym and was happy to get back today. this week-5 workouts and clean eating. I also bought some tea to work on cutting down the coffee....way too much coffee after being home with a sick kid that was up all night
How's everyone doing? Physically? Emotionally? My first period came and went. I was still turning hpts positive though a few days ago. Emotionally, I'm sad and angry that I'm not pregnant.
How was your weekend? The weekend marked 1 month since I lost my baby. We were going to be announcing on Valentine's Day. It was a hard one.
Anything new to share? I went for my annual at my old ob (she's an hour away) but she ordered a ton of tests to figure out the cause of my two consecutive losses. She said that when I get pregnant again, she will be closely monitoring me. So I feel like I'm in better hands.
What was your best moment with your LO(s) this week? My toddler is kicking my ass this week. My favorite moment is any time she decides to eat food.
GTKY: I am so excited for spring. I lost two pregnancies this winter. Spring has to bring good things. The metaphor of everything blossoming again is giving me hope.
Accountability Question: I'm working on nightweaning my daughter. She's 15 months old and nurses honestly 6-10 times a night. So, I'm letting hubby take over. It's hard. And it's working
thepax89 ((Hugs)) it's so hard not to think about pregnancy milestones after a loss. Hope LO eats something and does well with the weaning.
Does your daughter sleep in her own crib and iwhat ways is DH taking over. I've been working on getting my 20 month old in her own bed and off the boob at night. This sickness set us back, but I feel like I need to make DH step up and work on it too. She slept alone for 5 hours the other night. It was a miracle...then back to our every 2 hour pattern
chknma she sleeps in her crib until 11 or so. Then comes in bed and nurses every 30 min-2 hours. Now I nurse her once and leave the room. (It's glorious!). She cries a bit but settles very quickly for him. Your daughter nurses every 2 hours still!!!!!!? Ahhh I can't do this any longer. How often during the day?
opheliainwaders I need to check that out. We looked into jay Gordon's method but it wasn't working too well.
opheliainwaders intense to now know the sex of your baby. How do you feel knowing that information?
I think intense is definitely the right word. Weirdly, I was pretty sure, but-feeling-wise, that both my losses were boys? So on the one hand it almost feels good to have my instincts validated; on the other, he becomes much more real to me. I think on the whole I'm glad to know.
I was glad they didn't tell me the sex of the baby when they did genetic testing...I feel in my heart it was a boy, but not knowing for sure makes it a little easier for some reason.
