I'm a big ol' hippie so I make a lot of my own stuff. I made this laundry detergent last April and I'm not still not through with the batch. You can leave out the smelly beads I'd someone has sensitive skin. happymoneysaver.com/making-your-own-laundry-detergent-worth-the-cost/
I also don't buy lotion and only use coconut oil for my body and hands, argan oil for my face, and lanolin if they're really chapped. I use the oil cleansing method for my face so I also don't spend money on face wash

A lot of y'all might already be doing this but DH and I noticed that we tend to collect loose change a lot over time and never seem to use it. So we bought one of those big water jugs and started dropping it in there. After our first year of living together it accumulated to be something around $350 just in a bunch of change. We decided we would do this to save up to take Callie to Disney World when she is big enough.
Also we somehow also collect A TON of sample sizes of random things like shampoo, lotion, body wash, toothpaste etc...we keep those in big containers that way if we travel or find ourselves out of something last minute and didn't get a chance to run to the store we just grab one of those and use it until we get a chance to buy our regular stuff.
