Around 3am J finally fell asleep, with H on the floor in her room (after he scratched her back). Then E's feeding finished (H started it while j was in bed with me) so I got up to take care of that....
4:45 E wakes up crying for seemingly no reason - she calms herself down, and 5 minutes later is crying again. Her diaper was super wet, so I change her and put her back down and she happily goes back to sleep (thank God). Then my alarm goes off at 5:30. FML.
I hit snooze a few times, got up at 6:15, left home at 7:10 and didn't get to work until 8:45.... I normally leave at the same time and get here before 8. This day sucks balls.
And I've realized that all I've done is whine. Sorry ladies.
Don't be sorry. That sounds like a shittty day. Could you leave early and get a pedi or something? Starbucks and wander target alone?
I did get a Caribou coffee this morning - I had a gift card from MIL (V-day gift) which made it even better, and then found out I had a $1 off large, so i used that "coupon" on my card.... then I got a bagel even though I was going to do a 3 day juice cleanse this week - I did one day yesterday... today was 100% never going to happen after last night, haha!
So, my wins today are: "free" large coffee for even cheaper so I have more left on my giftcard. And a delicious bagel and egg sandwich
There's something good in the world today. And apparently J did sleep in this morning... H texted me at 9:00 and she was still sleeping. So at least she's getting rest. H was going to bring E to daycare whenever J woke up....

Aw trixi282, what an awful sounding night. I'm glad J is finally sleeping. Hopefully the antibiotics help quickly so she can be in less pain. Hang in there! I hope you all sleep better tonight.
trixi282 - I hope J is starting to feel a little better today and that your night was a whole lot better than yesterday.
Whine: I had a stomach virus yesterday. When they transferred my ID to my new division, they deleted my remote account, so I currently can't log in from home, which means I had to blow a day of PTO.
Win: So far it looks like the rest of the family is avoiding catching it. I quarantined myself and then lysoled the house like crazy.
Whine: My new boss is going to be gone on vacation for the next 1.5 weeks and today is his last day in the office. Since I missed yesterday, I feel totally behind on learning what needs to be done.
Whine: I'm prepping myself for Andrew's pedi appt coming up. He'll be 15 months and still doesn't say any words. He's not great about communicating at all, so I imagine he's going to have to have an eval at some point.

Liam will be 18 months and still doesn't say any word consistently, except Mama. There are five other words he has said in the past, but he doesn't say them regularly. My pedi wasn't worried at our last visit and said there was no need for an evaluation right away.
barefoot84 - I'm hoping its nothing to worry about at this point. It honestly depends on who we see at our office. We saw one of the NP's last time and she was saying that they have to have 1 word by the time they are 15 months. But I feel like some of the others in the office are more relaxed. I can't remember which one we see this time up.
Honestly, Andrew is about 3 months behind other kids his age, so essentially he's starting to do things now that 12 month olds are doing. That probably means he will be closer to 18 months before he starts talking.
FWIW, my son was speech delayed because of fluid in his ears. He was 2 and only spoke single words. The pedi said he didn't worry about speech issues until kids were over 2 since development can be so different.
roo1582, I completely get the worry. Just before Eliza's 18 month appt I was really concerned with her speech or vocabulary. I brought it up and they weren't too concerned and just to keep an eye on it. I swear 2 weeks later she had a word explosion and put my worries down a notch. I swear she speaks less because she's a 2nd child and Hanna is such a mother hen and talks or answers for her. And also because she's super attached to the paci, which we are working on. She's really turned a corner and talks a lot now at almost 2.

roo1582 Ellison says like 5 words. 2 regularly and 3 randomly. They at first thought it was because she was a #2 but we found out it is because she has fluid behind her ears and failed her hearing test. Defiantly worth bringing up, but can be totally normal. She is 14 months.
