I'm so sorry they are pulling this BS @amyg. I never would have made it past the first two weeks of breastfeeding if it wasn't for the amazing advice, support, and encouragement that you gave me and all the other ladies on our board. You are an amazing wealth of information and they are complete idiots to try to hide that knowledge.

This is so upsetting. Even your posts that were critical about the way things were being handled were calm, well thought out and kind. You took actual time and care to try and help.

It's all so, so weird to me! Although their target audience is not the long term members. They want the women who show up with pregnant, might want to buy some pregnancy books and onesies and then go away.

Damn. That's seriously fucked up @amyg seeing as how they bought out BF.com and the wealth of information it provided. You'd think they wouldn't screw over a member that has contributed so much to the forums.

OMG Casey you have me in tears. I'm so glad I could help you out. Its what I'm here for. Posts like yours are why I do this. I don't do it for the pats on the back, I do it because I've been that mom without help and I don't want anyone else to feel like they are alone in the confusing world of breastfeeding.

And that is why I'm still here, typing a message that nobody will ever see.

Even if the proboards spin off board takes off like a rocket and most everyone moves over there here we have moms on this bump message board that need breastfeeding help every day. It's why I stayed at breastfeeding.com until their boards were taken completely off line when they were bought out by the bump/knot/nest conglomerate.

It's why I've been thru so many spin off boards from that breastfeeding.com board over the years. I'm a member of 3 other boards, but two of them everyone is old and doesn't have babies anymore.
So I had found a place to help moms here at the bump--I've committed to helping as many moms as I can, for sooooo long I don't want to turn my back on any of them, regardless of the website's quirks and weird TOU.

But now I'm at an impasse with the bump it seems.
If my posts remain hidden I will request that every one of them be deleted, because they are mine. If my posts can't help anyone I want them back.

Absolutely ridiculous. I already GBCBed earlier today because of the new TOU, but this just pisses me off so much. I'm a brand new mom and have personally found your responses so helpful, both on my own threads and on old threads that I found through search. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I really hope for all the moms who need BFing support they let you continue to post. I felt so alone when I started BFing and it was night weaning just recently that finally broke me down to post a question in a online community. (TB BMB July13) Unfortunatly it was the same day everyone left TB. I have Never posted to any forum before January 14. I was desperate. Other moms like me need you. Please don't give up unless they make you. This board is not easy to find.

I can't believe this. It makes me want to cry. @amyg, you've given an unmeasurable amount of invaluable advice and support on that site. To have it just disappear, for no good reason? It's just heartbreaking to me. I know you have helped so, so many moms be successful at breast feeding. I can't believe TD would hide all of that from struggling moms trying to do the best thing for their babies.
Not to mention that you did absolutely nothing wrong. Even their own warning doesn't make any sense.
Just when I think I can't hate TD any more, they just keep getting more and more awful.

@amyg I'm mathymckenna over on the bump and I also wanted to thank you for all of your advice over there. I was just a lurker but you made a huge impression in me and helped me be able to nurse my LO (even if I'm still tied to the nipple shield).

Anyone who posted, lurked, or just stumbled across the bf board on TB could obviously see that the advice @amyg provided was an invaluable resource. People come to those boards looking for support. I just can't fathom how a site dedicated to all things TTC, pregnancy, and parenting let their policy silence that kind of interaction.

I was one of those FTMs that needed somewhere to turn to read about the ins and outs of breastfeeding, and it's users like amyg that give us the support to continue in tough times.

I just don't understand.

I requested full account deletion and deletion of all posts and deletion of everywhere my posts have been quoted if they won't Unhide me& take me off board wide ignore. The content belongs to me and they don't have the rights to it

Of course I requested it in one of my hidden posts on the account deletion thread and my pms don't to anywhere so I'll have to email when I get on my laptop and can search the email address without logging in.

Of course I gotta figure out how to log out since the stupid board change logging out doesn't actually log you out

I agree with this! Your posts on TB made such a difference in success to continue BF'ing my LO! It makes me sad to know that future posters will lose this. Such a sad move by TB to show they honestly don't care about the well being of posters and their LO's on their site.

@amyg if you Google your user name and the bump your pro file will come up. When you click on it it will say user deleted when its done.

Ex. Google bantyrooster and the bump and click and you will see what I mean

Wow. I haven't been on TB since this board sprang up, but just want to chime in with how disgusted I am by TB's actions. They are losing an incredible resource. @amyg, your advice was so helpful with my first. I really struggled early on and I always knew I could turn to the BFing board, day or night. Here is hoping people who need help can find it here now.

You really can't trust them guys.. I just found my account re-instated. I waited more than 48 hrs to check the site after my account deletion request, and when I did then it looked like I was gone. Today I was able to log back in under my old sn. There were no links to my previous posts on my profile, but my personal info was still there. It looks to me like they pretended to delete me but are actually still counting me as a member. HELL TO THE NO, DUMP!

You can log out if you clear history and cookies. It's the only way I've figured out how.
