Does anyone have a good method for washing your kiddos hair? When E was younger I just laid her back on the sponge she sat on in the bathtub, but now she doesn't like being laid back. She's busy playing and doesn't want to be bothered.
I've tried getting her to just tip her head back so she doesn't get water in her face, but that's a no go too. I have a cup that is flexible that you're supposed to kind of mold it to their forehead and pour the water back on their head, but she won't sit still for that either.
So my only option is to just dump water over her head a few times to get the shampoo out, and deal with her crying and trying to climb out of the tub.
My DD is a weird one, she hates to take a bath. She showers every night. Living in my grandparents house the shower head detaches so I just tied it lower on the handicap rails so it is DD's height. She loves it. because of this I was able to teach DD to lean her head back into the shower spray so it will wash off the back of her head. She will do this for the most part, sometimes I just have to dump it and try to block as much from her face as possible.
We do this too. We have one of those shower heads that is attached to a flexible hose.
We have one too. So do you still inevitably still get some water dripping over her face but she doesn't mind? I'll have to try this, maybe the gentle rinsing would be less "traumatic" for her than dumping a cup of water over her head.
