Nursing is my second career...I really wanted to be a 4-H extension agent. My first bachelor's is animal science with a minor in agriculture education. I graduated in 2009 right after the economy tanked and it's a mostly grant and government funded job so I had to find a career that payed. I love nursing but I always wonder what that would have been like.
My sorority got me interested in the Serious Fun Camps, we always held fundraisers for the Painted Turtle Camp. But all the camps bring kids and families with different illnesses together for a week, and ask the kids that week have similar issues. The have support groups and experts and the kids have fun and are "normal" for the week. So I really like that charity.
I wish I could do over middle school...those years where rough and awkward...
