Poppy I'm regretting wearing my non-maternity jeans already, too. Things are getting tight...
Do you have a hair tie with you? Could use that around the buckle and make things a little roomier
I've never been able to get that to work. I just gave up and unbuttoned them and tucked the flaps of the button and hole. MUCH BETTER and I've got a shirt that will cover it. I'll know that regular jeans are a no go from now on.
Last pg I was in them until I delivered. I had like 3 pairs of mat. jeans and then rotated between my regular pants too.

I had to stop wearing my regular jeans pretty early on because my hips expanded a little earlier (I always wear low rise jeans) so they got snug fast. I may attempt to wear them post-pregnancy, but it may also be a lost cause.
How long can I wear my maternity pants after giving birth? I really like the style of two of them.

DH totally said to me in April you need to go back to regular pants exclusively. I realized he was right. It was a sad day. I might have never gone back if he didn't say something. It was especially bad because I only had 3 pairs I just rotated them forever.
I'm FX that bf cuts down on the trim down time after. FX for not having to wear my fat jeans forever.

Hmmmm... Idk if your DH's opinion of when you need to stop wearing maternity pants counts. But I suppose if you agreed with him then I'll take your advice. I guess I better rotate my own three pants with more frequency for the next 6 months (assuming I won't be right back into non-maternity jeans).

So, a random, I feel like I don't want to bring any TB related things into this board (minus the gossip) so I didn't want to use a TB ticker. The lilypie one I'm using now isn't so bad, but I don't like the baby. I didn't like any of the ticker options really, this was the lesser of all the evils. So don't assume my ticker is a reflection of my general aesthetic!
Your body will probably shift shape again and let you know when to stop with the over the belly pants... Under belly might work longer before reg pants fit... I had a c so under belly I HATED but eventually wanted to wear regular pants maybe like 2 months? Also I lost weight fast so my mat pants sagged quickly

My sister says she has a pair of mat. work pants that she still wears. Her boys are 3 and 4. lol

Ave you checked out alterna-ticker? I've seen people use those for a different look.
Speaking of people waltzing into homes that aren't theirs, I had a strange man walk into my off-campus apartment in college. He was from a halfway house down the block (We had no clue it was there when we signed the lease. Should've known the price was too good!) It was pretty scary. He came in to tell me my headlights were still on...they stay on for like 20 seconds before automatically turning off. It took a lot to get him to leave, and then a couple nights later he cornered me outside my car around 11pm and wouldn't let me in the apartment. He said I owed him a favor for the headlights thing and he wanted me to drive him out of town. What was really scary is I didn't have the "fight or flight" reflex...it was more like "legs turn to mush and I can't move". I still get the heebie jeebies thinking about that night. eek
Holy shit! That gave me goose bumps just reading it. I would've been so scared, I don't know that I would've had any other reaction than yours. How did you get him to leave?
I finally made it up the steps to the door but he kept standing in between me and the door. I was afraid to seem upset or say no because I didn't know how he'd respond and didn't want to piss him off. (He told me he was kicked out of the house, and he was fidgeting and itching a lot so I assume it was drug-related). So I told him I would but I needed to get something, and he had to wait outside because of my roommates. I think I gently nudged him to the side b/c he still wasn't moving. He finally went down one step, so I unlocked the door, jumped inside, and locked it.
My roommates woke up and we sat there debating whether to call the cops or not as he sat there ringing the doorbell. I yelled to him through the door that I wasn't going to drive him anywhere. He left just when we were finally deciding we should call the cops to at least have them come drive by to scare him off

OMG. No. Just no. I'm surprised you ever went out alone after that. How much longer did you have to stay in that house? Was it a bunch of girls living there with you? If that were the case I think it's really inappropriate the landlord/apartment manager didn't at least warn you about the halfway house so you ladies would know to be careful. I'm not at all saying people in halfway houses are bad, just when people are transitioning back into society, it can be hard not to fall back into old and potentially dangerous habits.
We were in the house for the rest of the semester, but that guy disappeared after a few days. It was me and 3 other girls, so I agree it's pretty crazy that we weren't warned/notified.

Thank God he let you by and you were able to get in and lock the door. That could've turned out so badly!
limad That would have terrified me. I would have had my keys ready to jab him with. I don't know that I would have been able to go out alone after that.
Yeah, I was freaked for a while. My boyfriend (now my DH) started driving me to and from the apartment. Or if I needed to drive my car he'd drive over and come get me at the door to walk me to my car. After a while the guy disappeared and I wasn't as freaked, but just became ore aware(paranoid) of my surroundings.
I'm feeling so fucking anxious for my appointment and I don't really know why. Yes, it's stressful and I want everything to be okay but I feel like I'm going to have an anxiety attack. It's just an appointment to talk about things.
Just trying to distract myself here until it's time to go.
Oh sweety. I'm sorry you are stressed. Try not to worry. FX for a great apt for you! Can you take a walk before? It's nice here what is your weather like?

I was just on the phone with a client for almost a half hour trying to explain a document that he has to fill out for me and he didn't understand a thing of what I was saying. Then he's jumping all around on the paperwork and I had no idea what he was looking at. I finally told him I would have someone else get in contact with him to better explain. I feel bad now because I think he sensed my snark but I lost all patience in that one.

beeorange - I'm sorry your stressing out . I've been trying to practice mindfulness lately to help combat my anxiety. Just being in the present moment and focusing on my breathing. It actually does help calm me a little.

At my old house we used to have a crack addict come to our door begging for odd jobs to make money. Stupid DH started letting him rake the yard and shovel the snow and paid him! I was like seriously WTF. That all ended when he showed up at our door at 2am asking for "bus money" "I gotta feed my kidz."
Poppy I'm not allowed to go for a walk because of the strict bed rest. I wish I could, that always calms me down. I have to leave in about 5 minutes anyhow.
@jessmar Thanks, I just finished that thread before I came back over here. reginaphalange wins today.
OMG duh. Of course you can't. I'm sorry I just think panic attack and walks. My mind just lumps them together. DH developed PTSD after we had Addison. He has terrible panic attacks and he always calls me when he's out walking the trail they have at work.
Forgive my stupidness. GL at your appointment! I really hope it goes well and calms some of those nerves.
