Let me know how this goes. I didn't consider that maybe she's waking up wanting something in her stomach (maybe even just a drink or something.)
5:30 like clockwork. He woke up asking to eat. He had lo mein, eggs, yogurt and pretzels before bed. I think I might try giving him milk tomorrow morning and seeing if he will fall asleep again.
What happens if you ignore him? Does he get fussier or will he go back to sleep. I remember with DS there he was starting to wake earlier and we just told him it wasn't time to get up and we'd come get him when it was. Took a few days, but he figured it out and now plays quietly in his bed until we get him in the mornings.

He gets louder and louder. He's never played nicely in his crib, ever. I was hoping if I give him milk he will lay back down.

I didn't read all the replies yet, but the kids all go to bed at 8pm. They usually wake up at 7-9am (8am is typical, but it does vary). I put them down for naps at 1pm, and they normally nap for 2 hours.
M asks for food in the mornings now too. Actually whenever she is hungry. It's great. But not at 5:30 am.
Totally agree. The first thing he said was "panpakes", which he ate all yesterday.
Mine goes to the kitchen and throws a drama fit. Usually hanging on the fridge doors whining "cheeeessse" or opening the pantry crying "cookie, cookie, cookie." It's like a switch goes off. One minute she is fine the next she has.to.eat.right.that.second.
So he woke up at 5:10 asking for a bottle. I gave him a bottle with milk and he went back to sleep until 6:45!!!!
I feel like im starting a bad habit because we've been trying to break him from the bottle.
Can you give a sippy instead?
Im going to try that tomorrow. He usually doesnt take a lot of milk from a sippy. I think the bottle is his comfor thing. He never took a paci but he loooooves a bottle.
Late to the game... DS goes to bed at 8pm and is up at 6am. Those are firm times. Only when he is sick will we vary from them. He will STTN unless sick as well. He only has one nap and goes down at 12:30pm for it. Generally it is two hours. DS does really well if we stick to a routine. If we try to vary it, we pay for days. He still gets a full sippy of milk right before bed. When we tried to cut this down, he was waking up early and hungry.
