Hey! I haven't been around too much lately but I wanted to ask you ladies about an issue we've been having recently to see if any of you have dealt with anything similar or have any advice.
The short story: T's been peeing his pants a lot lately. After months and months of never.
The long detailed version: There's a lot of change happening right now, and he is a very sensitive kid. I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant, and have been nesting and rearranging his room to make space for baby brother. DH started a new job 3 weeks ago and works a little later hours, but we still have dinner together every night. He has been more stressed with the transition and perhaps less available for playtime (though not much less that I can tell). We've enrolled for pre-k and taken a tour of the school all within the last month or so, and while he's super excited he still says things like "I'm not going yet am I? Not till I'm 4, right?"
He peed through two changes of underwear at Sunday school a few weeks ago. Peed a huge puddle in bed for the first time ever since ditching diapers this weekend. Has frequent wet undies even with multiple trips to the potty, and then today peed in his closet on some books and toys.
I'm so frustrated, potty training went too easy and now I'm dealing with all the stuff I was expecting back then. I wouldn't be surprised if this was happening after the baby came home but could he really be that perceptive to feel all the change in the air and be reacting this strongly already? If so, I'm worried for when he does really come!
Or maybe it's a bladder infection sort of thing? Should he be complaining about burning or anything if so? Should it persist for months with good days in between if that's what it is? I don't even know what to think.
Anyone else dealing/dealt with this?
We made a chart before he went down for nap and I put an x for the morning but said if he could stay dry all afternoon till bed he could get a sticker and we was so excited but I just don't even know what to think at this point.
