Mine is a WTF but it's been bugging me since this weekend. My ILs give my 2 year old niece soda on a regular basis. The 4 days we were there, I didn't see her drink anything besides juice or soda. They also give her candy and fruit snacks ALL.THE.TIME. My SIL is morbidly obese and it breaks my heart to see them set my niece up to fail.
Her pediatrician has made comments about her weight but my ILs don't see anything wrong with her size. Anyway WTF???

That makes me sad. I have struggled all my life with my weight and I work really hard to make sure my boys have a healthy diet. I don't know why you would want to do that to your kids.

It mostly comes from their own lack on nutrition. My MIL is the only one with semi heath habits but even that is iffy and she still allows the soda and candy. I feel like she wants to be a typical grandma and spoil her but my SIL and neice live with my husband's parents. My ILs are basically parents to my neice so they don't understand that they can't spoil and avoid disapline like they can with a grandchild they only see a few times a year. It's an entirely fucked up situation.
Annnnd Jacksons urine was positive for crystals and red blood cells. So we start antibiotics. If he still shows them after then he needs X-rays. FML. Puppy, why you sick? You're only 5 1/2 and none of these things are shiba known breed issues :-(

Yuck. We had a bunch of weird stuff happen with our pup's bladder last summer. I hope it's just an infection and goes away with the meds.

So sad to hear about this happening. Like a lot of other people, I (and most of my family) has struggled with weight forever, so it makes it extra important to me that my kid gets reasonably healthy food. More whole foods/less processed, and not a ton of added sugar/salt/etc. I am not one of those crazy "sugar is poison" people, but I don't see how you could be giving someone that small soda ALL the time.
My dad was driving my car yesterday, and seriously adjusted EVERYTHING. He's a lot taller than me, so I get moving the seat back, and adjusting the mirrors, but he changed the recline on the seat, adjusted the steering wheel, all of the mirrors, and the air conditioning vent. I hopped in to drive yesterday, and had to spend what felt like forever adjusting everything. I'm extra lazy about it because H and I are close enough to the same height that we never have to adjust anything.

Well DS was having fun scooping dog food and refilling the dogs food bowl. He was so proud of himself. I turned around for a minute and hear a slurping sound- yeah he started scooping up water from their water bowl and drinking it. He got at least two scoops worth of dog water before I could grab it. Mother of the year over here. Eta: my daughter just told me she gave the dogs new water and they've been outside so they hadn't drank it yet, so at least that's a little better but still, yuck

Hannah has done this in several occasions with her tea cups. Just more immunity when she is older I guess lol.
Finkle finally got his house sold (not sure when he closes). I asked him what his plans were and he said "move to ***** Gallo Rd for a year or two". O.o.

The other day I heard a weird slurping sound and when I looked around the corner DD had her face in the dog water bowl slurping it up. So gross. She also will try and slurp water out of the bath when it's draining out. Gag

Work stress is pushing me to want to become a stay at home mom.
Just found out today a good friend is getting deployed for 3 months to Iraq and I know she's strong and can handle it but my heart hurts for her and her babies-ages 1 & 2.5

Dear DH-
You have the next two days off, instead of sleeping on the couch at 9pm it would have been nice to go over budget stuff like I asked. Also when I woke you up to go to bed don't say I'm nagging you. Also don't just go to bed and leave me to get myself and E ready. You knew his diaper and clothes needed to be changed because I stated such. And then don't try and take over because I'm giving you a guilt trip (even though I said nothing). Go ahead and enjoy all your sleep. All I know is I'm sleeping in tomorrow and he can get up with C.

Good if he is asleep at 9pm he should get up with her. How did E do last night?

He did decent. 11:30-3 and then 4-7. I'll take it. Today and tomorrow DH is off and I assumed he would spend it with us. Nope. Apparently he needs to review all of his old projects to prepare for the new job. So we were gone from 10-12 at play group. I come home and expect to have lunch with him. He already ate. So I was like well can you get C lunch and I need to feed E. I ask him how his review is going and he's like well I took a break and watched TWD and ate... (Cue annoyed look from me) I asked him to hold E while in ate and he gave me shit about how he wouldn't even be here usually and that I knew he needed to review and that it's for our lively hood blah blah blah.
So he grabbed a beer and went back into his office. Just wondering when my break comes. When he leaves and takes both kids?

How's the Ramsey stuff going?
I had to miss the class this week because DH worked till 8pm. I need to watch the session online asap.
isolemnlyswear, I'd be giving such a side eye to DH if he did that. If he's home he helps (more so when I was still on leave, now that we're both working we kind of just take turns).
Yea... I'm getting pretty resentful these days. I'm just so touched and needed out these days and wish I could hide it the basement for a day and drink a beer and work on whatever I wanted to..

That's completely understandable! Being touch/needed out is so hard. Is there anyone you could talk to or get to come watch the littles for a few hours so you can get a break? I know it's not the same, but it could maybe help. *Passes wine*
I just made DH take her to the zoo. We live 5 minutes away and it's 65° outside. He was crappy at first but then he saw how happy she was when he asked her if she wanted to go. So now it's just little man and I and he's sleeping so it's kind of like a break
Glad C gets to go do something fun outside! I totally get feeling touched out. By the end of the day I just want 30 mins to not be needed but that's usually impossible with a baby who has her own schedule and no bedtime yet. Too bad we don't all live near each other we could create a rotating kid watching/swap so everyone got a break.

No kidding! E has been asleep the whole time so it's been super nice!! I cleaned off my phone, emptied both my email in boxes, watched session 2 for Dave Ramsey class. Just relaxing definitely what I needed.
