What kind of idiosyncrasies have you noticed about your J12 kid?
M has one and it reminded me to ask. When he drinks milk, he likes to rub screen prints on t-shirts. This only started about a year ago, so not sure where it came from. He will seek out anyone with screen prints and ask to rub their shirt while drinking his milk. So weird!
D is obsessed with cords and plugs and figuring out how things with cords and plugs connect. He asks me 100 times per day "where does it connect?" One day I was wearing some glittery pajama pants and he asked me where they plug in. I thought other kids were like this, but when I saw him on his hands and knees studying the Christmas tree at his preschool holiday program while all the other kids could care less, I thought differently. It is so interesting to get this peak at how he understands the world. I think he will be an electrician.

Sadie hums while she eats things she likes. You just hear a little "mmmmm mmmmm mmmm" while she chews. It's adorable and I hope she never stops doing it.
Abby must have things out away in her room before she goes to sleep. She doesn't mind a mess while playing, but if certain toys aren't in their place before bed she won't get in bed until we put them away.

Cosette is a hair twirler and has been since about 3 months. Always does it to calm down for bed. Not really that odd I guess. I can't think of others.

Andre has a couple but the one that comes to mind first is in the mornings, when he comes into our room after waking up, he has to have his draped over his back like a cape.

Aubrey does this too. If she's snuggling or tired she will twirl my hair instead.

Recently, while putting Benjamin to bed he asks if I will pick his nose or ears or rub his eyes! It is so weird! The kid will seriously be comforted and fall asleep to me rubbing/ picking his nostrils!!! I have no clue where it came from but it started after we took away the soother. Mh thinks it is because I used to pick his ear wax and boogies when he was a baby a lot. Lol
Emma will cry because she has tears on her face.... from crying.
She also has to have a lovie for every animal/baby that is in the bed with her. She gets her special lovie, then each night-night friend gets their own lovie. Thank God we got tons of random lovies at baby showers. If she runs out of lovies then a friend get kicked out of bed. Brown Bear, which is her favorite, has a certain lovie that is his, but everyone else just gets whatever.

She has to smell everything. EVERYTHING! Like things no one would sniff...floors walls tables along with normal things. And no matter what it is she always says "smells good". She's been doing the smelling thing for a year now. She also sniffs her lovie Hectors ear...like audibly sniffs it like she's huffing it....it's what she does when she's sleepy or winding down. Also instead of sucking a pacifier at 9 weeks she started sucking her tongue...basically making a motion like she's sucking on something but with her mouth close and nothing in it. She also does this when she's sleepy. It's really cute looking
Unless Emmett is wearing his footsie pajamas he needs to be wearing shoes. We are working hard to break this because he is tracking snow and salt everywhere. Slippers are not shoes to him and they do not replace the shoes. We tried putting him in non footsie pajamas one night and he demanded that he wear his shoes.

You may have noticed this in my pictures, but Em hates to wear clothes at home. I'll get her dressed, go to get Nicky dressed, and come back to find she's stripped down to her diaper. Sometimes even that goes. If it's cold in the house she might consider wearing a shirt but not bottoms. She never does it anywhere but home. Nicky scratches himself when he's tired. Usually his hair/head, but also his upper thighs and butt. I have to keep his nails trimmed or he looks like he was mauled by kittens.

Like snickers4everyone 's Em, Tyler loves to me in just a shirt and undies. It is so weird. He also hates the camera in his room. We have to take it out every night and sneak it back in. He even says to bring it back when he's sleeping so I can protect him, but he will not fall asleep with it in there.
I don't know if this counts as an idiosyncrasy, but he has an arch nemesis at school. The kid's mom and I think it's hilarious because they don't hurt each other physically, but they think of other ways to "attack". The other kid wanted to steal Tyler's shoes. Tyler wanted to feed the other kid broccoli. They will be BFFs one minute, and plotting the others demise into a plate of broccoli the next. So weird!

cookiesandwine Gah, get out! I was just coming here to post that Riley does the same thing! She's the noisiest eater ever. I think these two need to meet. Maybe over some of that delicious King Cake you bought?

Yes! We'll have to get two cakes, one for them and one for us

Haha summergirl1211 the one of Robin was sooo me last night. Ok fine, and this morning!
cookiesandwine, I'm so tempted to order one, maybe for Valentine's Day or something. What size did you get? I saw on the website you posted on FB there are several different options. And do you recommend it? Or is it so flucking amazing it's better I not try it or risk the need to order one all the time?

I ordered the "economy" package from Rouse's. It's just the cake and comes with fedexair shipping. The other packages I think are the same cake, they just add beads and party supplies. It's so good and worth ordering! I think I rhave as they're only there until Fat Tuesday though so hurry!
Robin has a monkey that's his special lovie, but instead of snuggling it when he goes to sleep, he wears it around his neck--so like the monkey is sitting on his shoulders, and then he rubs the feet against his face.
mightybee Robin is that way with wheels--he will lie on the ground and run a car back and forth to try and see how the wheels work.

cookiesandwine: Thanks! They all look sooo good. I think we need one.

I asked my H if he'd ever heard of "King Cake" before and told him about Sadie eating hers and jut "mmm mmm mmm'ing" while eating it, and told him I wanted to try it. He was asking where you get it, and I said you had to order them... and he was just like "Hmm, gotcha." I was like "I WANT ONE!!!!"

Maybe I'll order one this weekend
trixi282: I've already convinced my H we need to get one (not that it took much convincing besides sending him the link). I asked if he wanted to order it for when my parents come to visit in a few weeks and he was all "nope, it's all ours".
