Thanks @mummypig. I couldn't remember who'd had a similar episode recently. I was just *so* hopeful we'd have a tooth this morning after all the hand chewing and general fussiness lately. I'll check his cheeks when he's up from his nap. I'm sure he'll be thrilled to have me stick my hands in there, but at least he'll be well-rested.

Hi everyone! I'm not caught up but wanted to share a funny story/FWP/confession.
Yesterday, I get a text from our new nanny showing C enjoying some time in the back yard. The first thing I notice isn't my darling boy, nope. It was the fact they were sitting on my A&A bamboo daydream blanket, outside, ON THE GRASS!
After my almost panic attack I responded w "cute!" Got home late last night and washed the blanket and hid it in my room. This morning I said "I love that you guys are doing outside time, here a few blankets I use for outside."
I'm quite proud of myself for not losing it. I don't even let my husband touch that blanket. But she had no idea it was special or cost $$!
I tried to tell my coworker and she was like "so your personal nanny took your $150 blanket outside so we could play with and stimulate your baby?? FWP lady!!"
I haven't caught up because I got distracted looking for a movie poster with E's name. At first it was Gwyneth Paltrow posters (yuck). But then I came across this one and I love it so I'm claiming it as my own. Lol.

I have no hope. of keeping up today/this week....
For those who feed LO mini pancakes - are you cooking them or is there a happy baby brand of frozen mini pancakes?
we really need to start increasing his "foods" (i.e. not puress and not puffs) but H is resistant to trying actual foods that full-sized-humans would eat (i.e. I talked about the mini cheese raviolis from the freezer bags and he looked at me like I had eleventy heads). So I've decided I'm going to start with breakfast foods.
I've done scrambled eggs, clementines (not a hit), toast, some cheese, little bits of whatever I'm eating (when H isn't looking), some fruits. Daycare has helped with bits of muffins etc, but we as grownups have horrid eating habits (i.e. canned vegetables if at all) so I want to feed LO better than we eat (or eat better, but I'm a realist and think H would be more inclined to feed LO real veggies/frozen veggies than he would be to eat them himself...)
Umm so this is kind of weird and kind of yucky, that was your warning...
T has something like a pimple in his diaper region. It's not on his boy parts, but the area above it... it started oozing a little on its own... So I touched it and it has kind of a lump under it, then it oozed a little more (when I say ooze, think pooping a zit) should I worry about this? He has had one before but never a hard lump under it...
Please tell me this is normal... I didn't want to Google baby diaper zits...
YOu guys remember how a few weeks ago I asked my boss if I could get some hours in the admin department? I just got approved to start training tomorrow! I'll be able to pick up overtime with it too. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do considering I'm now working almost a full schedule anyway, but overtime!
Movin' on up, people, movin' on up.
(Full disclosure, I'm only going to be filing crap, but STILL.)
Happy bday babies wombat and moscato!! And congrats mamas!!
codypup yayayayayyyy! You'll really rock at filing.
@unicornofthesea I have cats and glitter, and from time to time, it's not unusual for me to have glittery cats. That's the price we all pay for having cats who insist on helping with crafting!
LO and I ventured out (to give our vagrant a chance to sleep and eat). We went to BJs and Michaels and Panera. BJs has some great prices on outside type toys (water table, grill, lawn mower, picnic table) and winter outerwear. I got LO an Oshkosh coat for next fall/winter for less than $20.
We went for lunch at Panera. LO had Mac n cheese everywhere Mac n cheese could be. The older woman at the next table asked if he was always such a good eater. LOL OK.
Now? I need a nap. My boobs and I are going to reason with LO in about 30 mins.
bluedot to quote a nurse friend: "it's probably a cyst. If you can pop it, you should"
Well I didn't want to add to the gross factor... but I did start to... then T got upset. So I stopped but ok good to know what it probably is... did she say if it's harmless?
