Hey everyone! My name is Allison and I am from the M15 board, along with dabbling on parenting.
I've dealt with generalized anxiety disorder/depression for a number of years now. I was on xanax for a number of years and was switched over to Lexapro for a few months before getting pregnant. I absolutely hated being on Lexapro because it made me feel dull, had no desire to do anything, etc. From the time we started trying to get pregnant through now I haven't been on any sort of medication but I'm believing it's time. My anxiety has been awful and I need something to calm my mind. My doctor recommended Zoloft, 50mg worth. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with it and how it made you feel?
I did well on Zoloft. When I started it I was in a really bad place and had just had my worst ever panic attack. I still experienced anxiety while on it but much more manageable and I didn't have a single panic attack. I tapered off during my first trimester of this pregnancy and have definitely noticed increased anxiety while off it. I will be going back on as soon as I deliver.
Physically it was fine once I my body adjusted, but I dealt with a couple weeks of insomnia in the beginning.
I should note that I did well on lexapro also so you and I may react very differently to these meds.
